There are disadvatages for both parties in a public auction like this.
I strongly suggest you do your trading by PM.
You might not have been here for the Vince Carter sweepstakes, but the end result was that auctions like this were basically banned. I will wait for the commish's decision on this though.

I am not sure all offers have to be made via pm. For example, look at the VC thread, two guys are mentioned directly there.
I just have a concern about the 'auction' style. Now, the fact that it's 'public' makes it a somewhat different situation than the sweepstakes.
I am thinking that it would not be allowed either, as auctions seem to dominate other talks and bog down the league...
I sent the Nets a PM just to make sure.

If a team wants to (stupidly) make an offer in public, then so be it.
the blazers cannot make a privately made offer public.
If you want to auction by keeping it in this thread, then so be it. The problem with the "Vince Sweepstakes" of years past was that it was done via mass pm's.
