Quick draft analysis part 2 - Veterans

Biggest improvements in TC:
1. PG Curtis Sura, Hornets  +9.0
2. SF Chase Russell, Spurs  +8.5
3. SG Dean Drew, Bulls  +8.0
4. PG Eddie Uner, Spurs  +8.0
5. SF Tim Thomas, Spurs  +7.5

rounding out the top 10: Telfair, Blazers - Robertson, Grizz - Keogan (Nolan that is, not Vince), Mavs - Pietrus, Kings - McCracken, Clippers

Interesting: only 2 guys over 30 made in into the top30 here: Tim Thomas and Chauncey Billups. Haslem, Gasol and Etan Thomas were the only others past 26 in the top30.
Nine of the top30 guys had A pot, but 10 C pot and 2 even D pot (as of BEFORE the TC !!!)

Biggest disappointments among vets:
1. PG Andy Miles, Knicks  -9.0
2. C Zendon Hamiltorn, wolves  -7.5
3. PG Alvin Schenk, Nuggets  -7.5
4. ST Sheed Wallace, Rockets  -6.5
5. PF Austin Croshere, Magic  -6.0
rounding out the top10 are Shane Nesterovich, Pistons - Mason Mercer, Bulls - D-Miles, Warriors - Evan Lo, Cavs - A. Johnson, Lakers

Lookign at big names, Miles is the big loser tonight dropping 4 of 5 categories (plus pot) while Mercer and Ferry dropped 3 each, the latter is now F pot !!!

other noteables: Kidd's age finally seems to catch up, but young guys like Oscar Ferry and Terpening and Mercer had bad TC's too. From the top30 here 3 players had B pot, 11 had C and the rest had a D pot, so at least this follows expectations.

All in all 157 people gained ratings and 161 players lost with 97 unchanged (or balanced out wins/losses). Pretty even statline. I'd consider this one of the more friendly TC's (although half of the GMs won't agree), especially for rookies.

Next up: Winners and losers among teams ...

Pretty good work there CelticsGM!

Yes indeed, McCracken had D potential (and still has it) though he had a great TC.

I am looking forward to your analysis of teams.

Nice work bud.  Like I said, Drew was the only bright spot from my TC.

with C+, A offense, I expect no less than 20 ppg.  I think he could possibly average 22 ppg next season

You may also look at Mavs Oscar Jeannette.

B-    B-    C    A-    with    B potential. Not bad for 27th pick.

And yeah, my comp selected 2nd rounder. B- outside, B- inside, B- defense. Idiot, he really thinks he'll see any minutes. Smile

Jeannette only improves his outside by 1.  Yea, I have to said he was a good pick at the bottom of the first round.

Can't beleive you mean Tim Thomas (+1 outside)...I think you mean Etan Thomas (+1 inside, +1 reb).

No, sorry Doug, you read that correctly ...

While Etan had a nice TC as well - and you'll love his improvements - it was TIMMY who had a monster TC going one up in scoring and 2 up in defense. Not that his move from C to B- defense will strike fear into opponents now, but according to my formula thats enough to lift him into the top 5.

Gotta love such absolutely meaningless stats ...

Tim Thomas pre-training camp: C+ B C- B- C B

Tim Thomas post-training camp: C+ B+ C- B- C C

Here's the solution: He was listed PF right before TC and he's just C defensively there.

well, i can't check ANYTHING ...
