Quick draft analysis part 1 - Rookies:

Biggest improvement among rookies:
1. PG M.Guitierrez, Kings  +12.0
2. PF J. Costello, Nuggets  +7.5
3. SG R. Talamantes, FA  +6.5
4. PF S. Dickman, Hawks  +6.0
5. SG B. Shultz, Blazers  +5.5

Shultz and Dickman are the real deal it seems. Close behind are most of the other top picks as this TC was VERY rookie friendly with 48 players improving and only 22 going down in ratings.

Biggest disappointments among rookies:
1. SF J. Marquez, Hawks  -6.5
2. PF C. Smock, FA  -5.0
3. SG J. Murphy, Clippers  -4.0
4. C B. Provencher, FA  -3.5
5. SG K. Bergstrom, Lakers  -3.5

furthermore:
PG D. Holt, Warriors & SG E. Norwood, Sixers - 1st rounders whose ratings went down slightly
PF A. Berkowitz, Nuggets & PG T. Bolinger, Heat - you simply expect more from top5 picks with A pot

next up: top improvements among veterans

May I ask you how you get the +12 on Guitierrez and -6.5 on Marquez?

Celtics has a quirky rating system that weights the letter grades based on position.

Guitierrez went up 5 levels...2 in handles and 2 in defense which are important areas for a PG.

Marquez went down 3 levels but most importantly 1 each in both scoring ratings and 1 in defense....bad for a SG/SF.

Wow, i'm impressed, I couldn't have expained it better.

The numbers should only give an idea of how much a player won/lost in TC compared to the other players and has no relation to any statistical output that can be expected next season.

Now that statement is more then sure. Shultz is an All-Star already, that was a huge suprise to see him there.

and thus he's the first All Star to crack 1 billion votes (interesting enough thats more votes than all All Stars COMBINED have been getting in the 50+ year history of this event)
