I think that my question was addressed last season, but i just wanted clarification.
In my specific situation, Antwan Walker is out for 26 days, so if i'm lucky enough to advance far enough he could come back.
The question is, if I put him on IR now before the playoffs start, does he have to stay there, or can i activate him when its time?
I think he has to stay on IR, but i couldent find the specific post that anwsered that question.
any help is appreciated!

After the play-offs are "started", players on the injured list must stay there... Just like in the NBA...

I believe (Bods correct me if I am wrong) that your IR at day 100 (after the trade deadline) must stay your IR for the rest of the season AND the playoffs - you can't make any changes to it at all after day 100

eh, you'll need to keep walker in the active roster, or you'll have him out for the whole playoffs, injured or not injured

The season before last season we found out that you can't activate guys for the playoffs anymore who were on the IL for sim12. So you'll have to go with the guys available for sim12.

Well, this year I actually did it a way that IL can be changed up until the first playoff sim, so right now they c an be changed.
but once the playoffs start, IL's can't be changed.

yes, i'm wrong in both declarations here.
First it's definitely NOT correct that your IL from sim#10 (which covers day100) can#t be changed anymore.
And second, as bods lined out, it's not a given that the end-of-reg-season-IL can't be changed anymore (I remember two seasons ago, the Pacers weren't allowed to use Jamison in the playoffs because he was on IL in sim12 but could have returned from injury from round 2 then).
Good thing the playoff rosters/DCs can now be set right before the start of the playoffs.
