Hoffa may have found his niche playing 2nd fiddle to Yao.

28, 13 in the first sim is nothing to shake a stick at.

Memo to Warriors: See what he can do when an actual classy POINT GUARD gets him the ball where he can be most effective (as opposed to a "SF-made-PG" PG or "maybe-there-is-a-reason-why-i-was-a-2nd-rounder-even-though-they-made-an-own-rule-because-of-me" PG).

Sorry, Iggy and Bird are NOT great PGs, Kirk is. btw, you were 9-6 this year with him and Hoffa in the lineup ...

Yeah, that's true.

I'm pretty happy wit my Baron-Nash trade..defense isn't my thing this year, my thing is outscoring opponents, and Nash certainly helps that...wish he was 10 years younger though.

The point is, that Amare, Yao, and Duncan, for example, have played extremely well with below average point guards feeding them the ball.  Araujo appears to be incapable of that.  Hence, while he can be a great offensive focus, he needs alot of support around him.

Plus, like I said, I did not think I could compete with the Clippers with my team built the way it was.  This was really they key.
I felt my window with Swift and Araujo was about 3-4 years.  And the Clippers will basically be in their prime during those years.
And this past sim, I was able to beat a Brand-less Clipper in Clipperland.  It is a first, small step.
But I broke the Cardinal rule of basketball trades...  I traded big for small.  And I did that just after trading away Brian Cardinal...  Coincidence or not?

BTW, the sim when Iggy was at PG...  That was Araujo's 2nd best sim of the season Smile
I actually wish I had done that earlier in the season...

What's up with everyone quoting their own posts?

And I tihnk Araujo is going to have success no matter who plays the point for me this year.

Yao is an excellent passer for a big man, IMO. He's had some very high assist games.

There is no edit function in this forum...  And where the edit button usually is, the quote button resides.

Yao and Nash are both excellent passers, that will be what makes the combination work offensively...

Ahh..touche.

well, I tink both big men have enough offensivly talent to thrive with any PG...I'm just hoping it's Nash for 2-3 more years. If the defense drops to C, though, I will refuse to start him.
