you guys must have forgotten this. I had a great sim thus far. but my team went down by 2 spots on the standings. yikes.

Now i don't know exactly what you call a great sim, but I sure you definitely DIDN'T have one.

For the Hawks (not meant personal here) 4-5 would be a successful sim, but I admit I expect more from the (former) 4th seed in our Conference ...

I have to stop being dissatisfied about individual games, so I call this 6-3 sim successful despite losing to the Wizards (for the first time in 4 season games) and Lakers. With the Hornets, Nets, Sixers, Grizzlies and Spurs I also BEAT 5 playoff teams.

Just to repeat that, the Celtics, recently called the worst team in SSBA, beat the NETS at the Meadowlands, joining the Sonics, Hornets, Sixers and Grizzlies as the only teams to accomplish this feat.

Detailled analysis will follow (after celebrations) ...

Daniels doesn't produce like he used to as a third option...I guess the next thing to do is try Curran again as third option...take advantage of Hughes B- handles and move my focus to inside as Hughes and Kirilenko are better scorers from the inside. Daniels will hopefully just be his efficient self which is all I ask, as I should still get plenty of scoring now that i have a balance of it in my scorers and on my bench. Still barely holding on to that first place spot in the division, but it seems like things should turn around...the first sim after changes is always a little rough.

Well.....We still suck (2-4 this Sim, with a win at home over the Rockets and a blowout win at home over the Jazz and losses on the road to the Nuggets, Cavs & Hornets and at home to Cleveland), but that is to be expected. Trevor Wells is still playing like a monster though. His line in the six games this Sim:

MPG: 37.8
PPG: 28.2
RPG: 4.5
APG: 3.7
SPG: 2.0
FG%: 45.6%
3PT%: 44.4% (16-36)
FT%: 83.0% (Got to the line an average of 7.8 times a game)

He had games of 39, 32 & 29.

In our win versus the Rockets he scored 29pts on 9-14 from the field, 6-7 from 3 and 5-5 from the line. Now that is efficiency.

Finally took the time to look at the sim.

5-2.  Odd losses.  To the Celtics at home than to the Bucks.  But also a really good win (@Pacers).

Outscored opponents by 15.  Held them to 41.6% shooting.  Won turnovers by +2.  Rebounding by +7.  Blocks by +6.

Pettit was the star.  33 ppg, 6.4 rpg, 6.1 apg, 2.3 spg, 48% shooting, 46.3% 3pt.

Emeka was a great 2nd option, second great sim in a row offensively.  25.4 ppg, 14 rpg, 3.9 bpg, 46.5% shooting, 66.6% ft.  Held pf's to 39% shooting.

Boykins was great as well.  22.7 ppg, 9.9 apg, 1.5 topg, 1.6 spg, 59% shooting, 52% 3pt, 1.45 pps.  Held opponent pg's to 39%.

Dalembert held starting C's to 36% while contributing 11.1 rpg and 3.3 bpg.

Some interesting observations from the Celtics road win over the Nets here:
Quote from: NetsGM
Pettit was the star.  33 ppg, 6.4 rpg, 6.1 apg, 2.3 spg, 48% shooting, 46.3% 3pt.

Pettit got 36 / 9 / 3 on 48% shooting
Quote from: NetsGM
Emeka was a great 2nd option, second great sim in a row offensively.  25.4 ppg, 14 rpg, 3.9 bpg, 46.5% shooting, 66.6% ft.  Held pf's to 39% shooting.

Emeka got 21pt, 18rb with 5 blks, held Gasol to 25% shooting
Quote from: NetsGM
Boykins was great as well.  22.7 ppg, 9.9 apg, 1.5 topg, 1.6 spg, 59% shooting, 52% 3pt, 1.45 pps.  Held opponent pg's to 39%.

Boykins got 19pt, 10as, 1stl, held Billupss to 41%
Quote from: NetsGM
Dalembert held starting C's to 36% while contributing 11.1 rpg and 3.3 bpg.

Samy held Booth to 40% while getting 15rb and 5blks.

So why did i win despite every Nets star getting his top production (other than Earl and Meka shooting below 40%, which still shouldn't be too much of a concern for the Nets)?

Well, apart from Battier and Pettit allowing Lenard and Ginobili to go off on the offensive end, I think Chauncey just wanted it more !
(guess he's still pissed not getting an easy chance for a title now, cause all day you could hear him mumbeling "you NEVER deal an allstar in midseason, you NEVER deal an allstar in midseason, ...")

well, it depends how you would describe a great sim. I say great I won almost a half on my games and Dwight's stats went up.

but I had the word "BUT" in it. meaning however. and was saddened about it.

Winning less then half of my games is a bad sim for me, and I'm #10 in our conference. Now if you said "apart from 3 losses to the powerhouses Sonics and Pacers I did great going 4-2" I would understand it a little better ... but still, you care about Dwight's stats more than winning ?

And reading you initial post you were saddened dropping two spots in the standings DESPITE your great sim *lol*

It took him 5 sims but Antonio Lenard finally went from being my #6 scorer to Celtics scoring leader. His production returned to 20+ppg again with Billups providing the assists.

Chauncey with his first triple double for me (in fact my first ever since I took over the Celtics) in a 1pt win over Hornets. His 18/8 this sim were just what the doctor ordered. Pau Gasol had one of his worse sims offensively (14/8, just 31mpg), but his value is more on the other end (as long as it's not TD waiting there).

But the difference maker this time was Manu Ginobili, exploding for 14ppg (twice leading scorer), 6rpg, 4apg on 50% shooting while holding the not too shabby opposition (Marion, Petitt, Iverson, RLewis, AMiller, Wade, Arenas, Q, Allen) down to 42%.

Interesting fact: Celtics last 6 losses were blowouts (10pt or more) and 8 of the last 11 wins were blowouts. At least I win the close games ...

Likely a first for the Warriors... Day 88 against the Wolves, had 6 players score 16 points or more...
