That's the second time your team crushed mine. Stop making me look bad... Razz

Other then that loss to the Sonics and a close one to the Bulls, it was a great sim, going 5-2. And I really needed it after the the terrible 2-7 sim. I let Vince & Vince run wild, going with an outside focus so they can rain down treys all game. It's not a bad idea, when both just shoot so well. I'm also loving Evan Lo as my backup SF/PF. He has the ability to put up 15+ points in a game in just around 25 minutes. And he does at with solid shooting.

not a great one of course (2-3) considering the teams youth, but Houbregs has been really impressive since he was put as an option (1st) after all the trades i've done, in 32.6mpg was on 23.4ppg,5.4rpg,1.9apg,2spg and shooting 50.0 % FG, 56 % 3P and 88 % FT, not bad at all for a rookie that was in the shadow of other players before, but now with more space, he's been pretty impressive , and as season is almost ending and the  Lakers in same position as me, it gives a lot of hope of possible 2 TOP 5 picks or almost for sure two secured TOP 10 picks now.

Wow...  6-1 sim...  Looks like my team really enjoyed Hinrich coming back.  Wonder if this can continue, or if it was just a fluke sim.

We shall see.

I've won 8 in a row and 13 of my last 14

In the second half of the year I've went 15-4, I'm on a huge tear.

I'm holding home court advantage for the first time in my career and my sched is pretty favourable down the stretch

!!!! Bill Embry !!!!      My pg Vince Davies gets injured 4minutes into the Pacers game, and Embry comes in and puts up 13/8/8. Next game, he records a 12assist game(not much) but a game after that against the Spurs, Embry gets his first triple double of his career. 10points, 11assist and 10rebounds. If that wasnt enough, he records a near triple double 16points, 10assist and 9rebounds. WoW!   Sure... Jason Kidd does this on a daily basis but this is a back up PG were talkin about!  WoW!!!!

I had forgotten about this change in the schedule. I will have to get used to it.

Clippers are crusing into first place in the West. However, they will happily welcome Elton Brand back in a few weeks for that Championship run.

expect a big change here on, on my starting line-up.

Well tried the normal pace, went 2-3, killed my playoff hopes.

Guess this proves that I wasn't tanking.

*sigh*

This doesn't prove anything.  Tanking is based on intent.  You take a look at your post about your draft pick and tell me how we were supposed to take it.

Besides, 2-3 is a .400 winning %.  Roughly the same as your season winning %.   Clearly not enough to prove what is the best setting for your team (which, again, is different than proving intent).

In fact, the fact that you're changing after 5 games whereas before you let Fast/Very Fast fail for 8 sims I think shows as much about your intent.

When I questioned you about your settings before, it was not to call you out on tanking.  Because noone is here to tell you how to run your team, and your dc alone was not enough proof of tanking.  Being misguided is not the same as tanking.  My goal was to find out your reasoning for your dc beyond "to have them catch up to Yao".  And, unfortunately IMO, you did.

This series of exchanges is the crux of any tanking argument:
Quote from: NetsGM
Just looking at things on a per minute basis.

Yao's points per shot are exact same as last year.

His minutes are up. If you extrapolate his points/minute and rebounds/minute up to the minutes he's playing this year, he'd be averaging 34.5 and 14.5. In otherwords, 3 points less and pretty much equal rebounds.

His increase in points can be attributed to an increase in shots, the lack of peja.

His defense has gotten worse despite being a higher rated defender. And your team is losing despite your pg getting older.

:stillconfused:

Quote from: RaptorsGM
It's not all that confusing if you really, really want to think about it...I shouldn't sa much else though.

Quote from: NetsGM
Oh, I know.

You want your draft pick.

Quote from: RaptorsGM
Yup.

I'm kinda pissed that it went to 4th, bt I obviously can't tank, it's against the rules.

I want that top PF.

That's pretty black and white to me.  But the decision's not solely up to Hornets and I.

But anyway, it's a moot point, since you didn't get 5 nominations.

Then why bring it up?  This will probably be followed by Raptors making a post restating he didn' intend to tank, which will probably lead to another argument.

Because I'm stating my opinion and explaining why there is no official ruling.

The tanking issue was brought up by RaptorsGM.  I'm bringing forth my opinion.

Nope I don't do that anymore.

And Nets, yeah, I understand where you are cming from, but my last two sims were both above .500. I was only going to the Normal pace so I wouldn't be accused of tanking.

I don't want to add any more to this crappy tanking discussion (other than the Raptors are the worst semi-tanking team ever), but allow one question: if fast and very fast pace led you to two successful sims, why do you change it to normal to prove your NOT tanking ???

Ranks a decent 8.7 on my personal "unintentional comedy scale", this whole discussion ...  Laughing
