Oh what a disappointing sim it was.  Sad

Starting off with the expected loss to the Sixers (those starting lineup changes always kill me, but Booth going down and unproven Johnny Duncan getting the assignment vs Tanner sure didn't help) we wen't on a breif streak winning 4 straight, all by 15pt or more (Pacers, Lakers, Bucks, Warriors - thanks Chauncey for giving Iggy his first career triple-double).

But then the sim turned into a nightmare.

Getting demolished by the Sonics wasn't a complete surprise (other than allowing 54% shooting) but after beating the Cavs on the road in a very important tiebreaker matchup I returned home only to lose to them in this mini-series (more importantly losing the season series 1-3 now). That was the biggest loss of the season so far !!!

Getting outplayed, outshot (again 54%), outrebounded and consequently beaten by the Mavs only completed the disappointing finish to this sim.

So despite making up 3 games on the Cavs and 1.5 games on the Pistons I feel we missed a great opportunity here. Still 3 games (and 3 slots not to forget) behind the #8 seed (and the right to be the Nets breakfast package) it doesn't get any easier from here ...

 Confused

Will be interesting to see if Yao plays ever more minutes with y very fast pace.

also, Nash and Diddle should play more that i am never trapping or pressing.

should be a .500 sim.

Congrats for a above average sim. You missed your goal going .500 (would have been hard anyway playing 7 games) but did stay in the playoff hunt.

Your picks dropped from #4 and #12 to #7 and #17, and that should be prove enough for now your not tanking. Heck, even my Celtics pick dropped from #1 recently to #9 currently ...  Wink

Yeah, I actually might try a normal pace this sim to ensure everybody sees that I'm not tankng.

I think I can make the playoffs.

Guess the list of playoff candidates in the East starts to get smaller.

Nets, Pacers Hornets are a lock
Magic, Bulls and Sixers are almost certain, too.

That leaves 2 open spots for 6 teams fighting: Pistons, Cavs, Wizards, Heat, Celtics, Raptors. (Outside chances for the Bucks but they are not only 5 games but also 5 slots in the rankings out of the #8 seed)

With the current holders of the #7 and #8 spot going 3-5 and 2-7 respectively, and the lower 4 teams all having .500 or better sims, everything is possible.

This will be a heck of a season finale again this year ...  Laughing

Yeah we both got screwed last season, hopefully we both get in this season

I'm really hoping I get the 4rth or 5th seeds, as I'd have a good chance against the Magic in a 7 game series.  I've done well against them this season.  If the seasonal games are any indication, I'd get crushed by the Pacers and Nets if I faced them in the first round

Well, even though my team royally sucks this year, Iggy in his first sim as a PG played very well.

7.3 point, 8.3 assist, 7 reb, and only 2.4 to's on 44% shooting.
And his first triple double ever...

But Hinrich comes back this sim...   Hail

The whole team had to run wind sprints after that 'till like 1am. Do I care that this is against any FBB rules and that the SSBA player association is prepairing to file an official protest to league headquarters ? Nah. Just gotta make sure that doesn't happen again ...

Hey, don't feel bad...

9 ppg, 8 apg and 8 rpg vs. the Grizz...
6, 12, 12 vs the Pistons...  he was close 2 other times this sim.

I would have the team do windsprints, but it interferes with Araujo's donut eating time...

5-3 sim....not bad considering 5 of the 8 games were on the road.  Loss by 1 in Detroit, took apart the Jazz before AK came back, lost to the Clippers to balance our season series at 2-2.  Also had a tough 4 point loss to the Wolves on their court.

Have finished with a very brutal schedule playing 17 games since the all star break.  Now I have just 20 games left in the final 4 sims...only downside is that 13 are on the road.

100.2 ppg, 44% shooting, 39% 3pt.  Opponents had 88.2 ppg, 41% shooting, 33% 3pt.

Rebounds only +1.  Turnovers I had 14.7 to their 16.7.  Blocks +6.  Made nearly 8 free throws more per game than my opponent.

Emeka was my best player this sim.  23 ppg, 15.2 rpg, 3.5 apg, 4.6 bpg, 44.5% shooting.  Held PF's to 41% shooting, which would have been much better had it not been for TD.

Pettit was a bit of a disappointment.  Did score 30 ppg, 6.5 rpg, 4.6 apg, 2.3 spg, but only shot 40.2%, 38% 3pt.  Much lower than his career averages.

Boykins offensively was down a bit (18.1 ppg 46.7%, 37% 3pt), but had 9.9 assists to 1.8 turnovers and held pg's to 38.4% shooting.

Dalembert with 11 ppg and 11.8 rpg, 3.8 bpg.  Bailey Snow had 2.2 apg in only 8 mpg, and a 3/1 ratio.  Shot great % (57%, 50% 3pt).

Overall a nice sim.  not great, but nice.

Did you recognize, still no word on the Sixers debacle, quite interesting.

But from a psychological standpoint, repression sometimes can lead to far better results than overanalyzing, so maybe, just maybe we all shouldn't cross this topic when we meet bods somewhere. So let's all just act like that horrible showing never happened ...
