IMO, a guy has got to be on the trade block more than 2 days before you decide that no one is interested, so you take a bad deal.

I tried to talk to MavsGM 2 times on AIM about Ilgaukas or Dampier and was willing to trade Dunleavy, but I guess he doesn't like the Pistons...

I showed interest in Dampier as well. Too bad, so sad.
By the way - terrible deal.

The trade will be processed as originally posted. There is currently nothing in the rules against it.
I just find it extremely hypocritical to complain about it, then 12 hours later do so yourself. Giving the Celtics Jamison?

Alright, here's the deal. At 2:05 pm Mavs traded for, and subsequently cut Antwan Jamison. This is equivalent of posting in the cuts/signings forum. At 2:05 pm Celtics posted in the Cuts/signings forum that he is signing Antwan Jamison. However, Antwan Jamison is not a free agent until he leaves the Pacers. That doesn't happen until Pacers accept. So, technically, Jamison was cut at 2:08 pm (when the Pacers accepted). Then the first one to sign him was, in fact, the Pacers (at 2:08 as well). Antwan Jamison is returning to the Pacers in what will be the last of these types of moves. http://www.phillyarena.net/forum/viewtopic.php?p=20716#20716

... Antwan Jamison is returning to the Pacers in what will be the last of these types of moves. ...
I know I was early as I've just seen the cutting and reacted. Pacers later posted the signing as well but removed that sign thread later on (also from THIS thread) so technically I should have signed him now ... But I will discuss this with the Pacers - what to do now, since that I even signed Antawn might be based on a misunderstanding in our conversation.

As of right now, Antwan Jamison is on the Pacers for the minimum. If you want him, you'll have to work out a sign and trade with the pacers within 24 hours.

Damn.. Nice trade for the Pacers. They got a very good C in Dampier. In return they basically give up nothing.
Dampier J-neal Melo Artest Fisher
Damn...

Onesided as can be. Pacers are now right there with the Nets now. I can't belive the Mavs did this.
And Bods you already said last year that you're not going to allow this kinds of trades. I think we were refering to Payton situation in real NBA.
It's just not fair and i'm certanly against it.
