It seems to me like pace is the most important, but have you guys seen real differences with the other settings, particularly trap and press?

I did last year, actually.   While on often for both,I did notice that opposing PG's seem to shoot a higher percentage.
I am guessing the settings also caused a higher number of opponent to's, but I did not check that.

I played a lot with the settings the first two seasons.  With press it depends on the quickness of your players which you can only judge by trial & error.  If opposing teams can beat the press (becuase you aren't very good at it) then they score easily....evidence is higher scoring & fg% by your opponents.

Trapping can hurt if you are using several undersized or slow players.  It seems to work best for teams with both quickness & length.
