The leader of the Celtics is having second thoughts about a change of scenery.

What you get: Solid offense (to the tune od 15ppg in 30mpg), very good defense and fine rebounding from the SF spot. His numbers this year compare to Peja (just on a tad worse shooting %), but accompanied by actually played defense. Expect around 15/6/3 as 2nd or 3rd option with a steal and low TOs.

Why he's on the move: Vlad grew more and more frustrated about his increasingly reduced part in the Celtics offense. After starting his career here getting 20ppg (on 48%) through the first part of last year, his shots were more and more taken away through the emergence of youngsters like Jefferson, Milicic and Snow (falling from 17 fga to currently just 13 fga).

What the Celtics look for: A high scoring replacement (can be with less defense) on SF or a high scoring/defending/rebounding PF.

For a very good player we don't look to deal Vlad straight up, but would trade him in a package.
For a star SF together with PG Snow (with the emergence of Elliott it makes little sense to keep TWO young - and similar - starting PGs on the roster).
For a star PF together with one of the young big men like PF Jefferson, PF/C/SF Milicic (yes, he's A- defense on all three spots) or PF Kaman (my best rebounder)

We're not in a hurry to get something done, but get in your offers, the deadline is coming ...
