My Celtics did start their first baby steps in the right direction. A 2-2 sim is not what I was expecting but there were some positive signs.

Playing the @Spurs, @Nuggets, Bulls and @Hawks I was hoping for a sweep but apparently curing my shooting woes takes some time.

The defense was there for sure holding the opp down to 41, 38, 37 and 34% shooting. But apart from a 63% fg%, 123pt breakout game vs. the Nuggets my offense was still hovering around 40% while scoring 83ppg.

Rebounding was slightly better but still cost me the Spurs game.

Now let's see what the future brings. A lot more home games for sure so all post season aspirations are very well alive ...

dude.....manu isnt worth the 2 picks you gave..you should see it by now...your team would maybe end up in the lottery or the best in the middle of the standing.....

i on the otherhand is very happy to be losing...my pick would be valuable...

another bright spot has been Tony Allen.  He is average 52.8 points per 48 minutes or 5.5 in 5 min/game this season. Laughing

He didnt give manu 2 lottery picks. He gave up 2 picks, andre miller and a mediocre player in ratliff for Manu and a 1st rounder from me.

ANd.. I think Manu is worth an andre miller and a 1st rounder package. Andre is a liability and an unproductive player. And manu is versatile enough to play PG and SG. He can rebound, assists and can defend very well (2.0spg)

Hmm, I don't understand, I went 3-5, losing to the Hawks twice  Embarassed

Guess I'll go back to the faster pace. Unfortunately Pavel is out for 2 more days and I am playing central division rivals Cavs and Pistons. Bummer.

Yeah, people gloss over the Sixers pick in that trade.  By 2012, we can't predict how the Celtics will be.  It's net 1 pick.

Considering Andre Miller was probably going to the bench, it was a bench player and 1 pick for Gnobili.  Celtics even admitted that if his pick was top 10, it was a mistake.

And, Heat...you're the king of the questionable move franchise.  I wouldn't go criticizing too much.

lol, i know i am thrilled as u r confused.  A 1 point and a 3 point win.  Both games were defensive battles and somehow I out-defensed you with Ivan a C defender.  But my guess is you'll ultimately end up better than me, just a hunch though.

I didn't think this would happen when I agreed with the trade, but I think Crawford will be coming off the bench for me.  Jamal can flat out score (is scoring well in his last few sims) but I'm not liking his percentages or his turnovers.  I'll continue to play Drew until it bites me (hopefully never).

I can move Hinkle, whos playing great efficient ball, to the backup 3 and let Palacio develop until the next TC

True but compared to Drew who averages 1.1 tpg.  Last sim Craw averaged 2 topg, and in alot of the games he had low TO's because he was in foul trouble and his overall production was poor.  My backcourt already has enough turnovers (with Hinkle adding 1.3 in 17 mpg, and Mercer obviously)

Ah, well that makes a little more sense.  In the 2 games I lost, Emeka wasn't starting, because I had taken him out when he got injured.

Still, i'm upset at those losses.

I need a better effort defensively than i got that sim.  Did good on 3's, but they shot far too well from the field, i was tied on to's, and only +1.5 on rebounds.

offensively i was fine.  Chauncey averaged 8 pts in 11 minutes/game (including 21 pts in 17 minutes in my win over the raptors).  Pettit was great, Earl was earl, and Okafor just didn't get many minutes when he did come back.

I need some home games.  second half of the season should be MUCH easier.  So far i've played 6 games at home, 14 on the road.  and I play 5 of 6 games on the road next sim.  Unbelievable.

Baron played great this sim.

18.4 points per game, 9.4 assists per game, 3 steals per game.

That's top 5 PG material.

Went 4-2 this sim, playing with cpu recommended settings.  oddly, this was a tougher schedule portion than the last sim, but whatever.

i've only played 8 home games, and obviously there's plenty of time to play catchup.

dude, Manu was worth everything I gave (which was one pick, the other was a swap of future 1sts). He's not my problem (holding guys like Arenas to 11 and Schenk to Cool. And I sure didn't get him to be a scorer, defense is what I got Manu for (with decent offense and few TOs) ...

Believe me, as long as i lead the league in fg% defense (ups, i'm just #3 now) i'm fine. The offense will come ...

Guess we both got the Circus coming to town.  Laughing

I played just 7 at home with 5 of the next 7 away again. But I close out he first half of the season with 8 out of 10 on my turf - and that's when we start to attack.

Interesting that I play just 35 games in the first 60 days and 47 games iin the bottom half of the season. Thank god fatigue after back-2-back-2-back-2-back-2-back-2-back-2-back-2-back-games is not a factor in FBB ... Wink
