I love this trade for me.

Obviously losing Hoffa is big, but Pavel is a great young prospect who will get better, unlike Hoffa with his F potential.

And Finley is better than Rose, and has only 2 years left.

Finley/Carter/Alston back court needs to be feared.

Yea, I'm in the losing end of this trade, but i want to win now and I like Araujo's inside game.  Hate to lose Pavel, but i have too many centers.

Damp/Arajuo/Dirk/Stackhouse/Harris look solid, also looking for an upgrade for SG if you guy have any.

Well, now that has been said about both of my trades Smile

I've sent out like 500 PM's, and I've only made trades in the last 2 days.

Raps, I like you.  I think you're a good GM.  But you just made a colossally bad move.

Hoffa has 20/10 abilities RIGHT NOW.  Pavel, who only has a B potential, will never be more than 10/10.  You're putting too much stock in scouted potential.  I've never seen a non-draftee with an "F" scouted potential where that was their real potential.  I'd bet hoffa has at least a C real potential, and it could even be a  B.  Don't put that much weight in scouted potential, outside of the draft. I've learned that lesson in the past.  I got Swift in free agency, went to TC, not only did his abilities improve but his Potential went from a D to a C.

Now, saying that I don't think Pavel will ever be half the player Arajuo is, the minimal improvement and minimal cap gain you get isn't worth it.

This will go back in SSBA history as Tractor Traylor for Dirk.  Or Elton for Chandler.  Bad, bad, bad.

I just scanned all the rosters in the league.  There are only 3 players currently on rosters with "F" potential.
Arajuo
Luke Jackson
Donta Smith.

All rookies.  Does anyone think these scouted potential's might be off?  Does anyone think these ROOKIES are really the only ones in the entire league who have no room for improvement?

There are only a handful of players in the entire league who have D potential.

I'm very wary that these scouted potential's are true potentials.

Hey Nets, I like you too, and I respect your opinion.

But have a good look at my team.

I've got Rafer Alston, Vince Carter and Michael Finley. Thats B+, A- and A- outside shooting respectivly.

Where would Hoffa fit into that? If Hoffa is a 20/10 guy, and Pavel is a 10/10 guy, I'm happy.

I will have NO problems scoring points. Smile

Plus, this is a team that want's to push the ball as fast as possible. Where does a 290 pound guy fit into that equation?

If Hoffa had A defense and A rebouding, he'd be kept, for sure.

And hey, I get Jalen off the cap, and Finely comes off next year. I have 30 MILLION coming off the cap next season, looking to sign a big FA.

I love this trade for me.

By the way Bods, what do you think Bosh's capabilities are? Not as much as Hoffa's? More than Hoffa's?

Perfectly.  Inside scorer surrouned by outside shooters (of which Jalen's good at as well).  It's the oldest and most proven way to build a team.

2 things.
1) You need to rebound the ball to start a break.  Hoffa's better than that.
2) And Pavel's 7'4", 260.  He's not running out on the break either.

You didn't get nearly enough for a guy who you can get 20/10 from RIGHT NOW, and that's IF that scouted potential is true (which I'm sure it isn't).

You just built a dynasty in Dallas.  I'm glad I'm in the east.

A perfect compliment to Hoffa.  Hoffa will score and rebound more, Bosh will block shots.

You had a frontcourt to be built on for a decade.  Now you've got a hole in your lineup.  As an eastern conference gm with my frontcourt already built, I'm happy Smile

Well I'm with you there.

Hoffa has a B+ inside. How many players have we seen with that, that don't put up 20? And there must be 50 players in this League that have a rebouding rating better than B-. Are all of them going to get 10 boards?

I just don't agree with you, Nets. Bosh may be a player to build on, but he isn't all that hot scoring the ball either.

Hey, Hoffa is good. But I think Pavel has the potential to be better, and man, Finley is twice the player Jalen is.

This was a great trade for me.
