WOW..sixers did it again manu is over rated... the two 1st rounder is a bit harsh....even if manu is in your lineup...its pretty hard to imagine you being in the playoffs coz nobody can score for you.... CONGRATZ to the SIXERS for doing a FINE JOB Curry 16ppg Al jefferson 11ppg radman 16ppg ginobili 12ppg (when he was an option) Elliot 8ppg and 6apg It might not be one of the best in the league, but it does deserve a play-off run.

And guys, don't worry. No one HAS to score big for me to win games, I do it by holding teams down defensively. And I even got better in this regard now ... And before you all rip me how opposing points are having their way with Rocky: yo, relax, give him some time. This guy is a rookie actually just playing his first seven games. He'll be o.k.

This trade is all about the playoffs.
If the Celtics can make the playoffs, this is an good trade for them.
If the Celtics do not make the playoffs, this is a great trade for the Sixers. One and possibly two lottery picks. Of course, the Sixers could very well be in the lottery next year as well, if Duncan goes on an injury spree, like he did earlier in his SSBA career. Without Duncan, the Sixers have no scoring at all.
It seems the Sixers are giving up their championship hopes by trading Manu. Without anyone to guard Carmello and Pettit, they are sunk.

Ouch!
Lol... Your next best offensive player after Duncan is probably now Terpening or Tanner. Might be tough to score... Just feed Duncan the ball 40 times a game though...

Love it for the Sixers even if the C's somehw squeeze into the plaoffs (let's not forget that hey started 1-6, and manu isn't exactly a franchise player to turn things around). This draft is stacked with talent thorugh the first 2 picks.

Ouch! manu couldn´t defend carmelo so that wouldn´t make any difference at all for the sixers. And i can´t see a real diff if the celtics make the POs or fail short the pick will be around 12-15 and this a lot for a guy like manu.

in mosts drafts a 15th pick rarely turns into more than a bench player. Unless one of the picks becomes top 10, I don't see the Sixers getting anything more than solid bench depth from the picks, and not replacing Manu.

It's funny, how different he opinions are on Manu. Some think he is overrrated, and some think he is underrated (myself included)

Manu is a solid 3rd option or outstanding non-option....but his numbers usually go down when asked to be the second or first option.
So how he performs depends a lot on the team around him.

I don't think anyone here claimed he was a star.
And whether or not you think it's overpaying depends on your opinion of first round picks

While I like Andre Miller, he was a spare player for the Celtics.
A defense for a SG/SF is not easy to find. There are six true swingmen with that ranking. And top it off with a guy who can shoot for really good percentages. If he was 27, this is a no brainer.
