I'm asking why would you be under consideration for GM of the year.

Hm..sorry, i know i'm not the most populat guy around here but i do think that some of my trades (Marbury, James, Louisseti) and my playoff run where i was 4 point away from the Finals,  are worth couple of votes. You probably think diferent, but i'm fine with that.

And specily after everyone seen me out of the playoffs before the season even began.

Ok, I thought we were talking about future GM of the year based on moves made this offseason.

Despite Raptors negative analysis this was the best TC Spurs have had...overall a +6 for the team.

Thomas didn't improve except went from D to C in potential.  But to keep his same ratings was great since he looked good in the 3 sims that he played for us last season: 16.2 pts, 11.2 reb as a non option.

Mihm didn't improve in camp but then just replacing Nesterovic with him was a big improvement.

Russell improved in defense & rebounding...two areas that he needed to work on in the offseason.  And as a extra bonus went from B to A in potential.  C+, B, B-, B, C with A potential and only 23 years old.

Arenas didn't improve but 23.5 pts, 4.6 reb, 3.9 asst, 2 stls will be acceptable from my starting SG.

Parker went up one in outside but his biggest challenge will be holding onto his starting job.

Speedy Claxton was a greeat signing for the MLE.  He went up one in outside and defense.  Now C+, C+, B, A could push him into the starting line up.

If Claxton starts then my starting defense is A, A-, B, A-, A.  And no one in the rotation is over 29 years old.

You have to realize that I only care about this year. Alot of your players gaied potential, which is great for yo, b won't help you his yea.

The freakin keys are so close together too. I sometimes spell a  letter word with 1 letter because i don't hit the keys hard enough, and sometimes with 12 letters cause i keep hitting 2 key at once.

All I can say is that IMO you will be unpleasantly surprised.

Dirk is going to be MVP.  No doubt.  Only McGrady comes close, and he doesn't have a guy like English dishing the ball to him on every play.

I don't see Dirk as MVP. Sure, he'll put up the scoring numbers, but he doesn't get the boards that other MVP candidates get.

Check out Duncan's stats from last year:
30ppg 13.6rpg 3.1apg 1.6spg 2.7bpg

And here are Dirk's:
24.5 ppg 9.3rpg 3.8apg 1.6spg 1.7bpg

Even if Dirk improves to 30+ ppg, I think the comp will still take Duncan over him.

Yao, Emeka, McGrady, Kidd and Garnett are my guesses for MVP candidates...

We'll see.  I don't think Emeka will score enough to garner MVP consideration.  He didn't improve at all offensively (again).

I think Pettit *might* get consideration, if his scoring increases due to a better ballhandling pg.

But I think the top choices will be Yao, Garnett and TD, again.

If Emeka gets up to 25 ppg (which he could as a 1st or maybe 2nd option), then he would be a viable MVP candidate, when you combine it with his rebounding and defense.  But Yao is still the most likely candidate, especially with his new A+ defense.

We'll have to see. Yao hould get at least as many touches as before, or more, but his scoring has gone down, and a drop of outside scorin means a drop in free throw percentage.
