I have a jam now in the backcourt. Chamberlain is sure gonna start, with his explosion now in training camp, but I have 3 guys that are all deserving of being the 1st guard off of the bench. Wooden, Ward, and Barbosa.

Wow, what a TC. Finally my hopes came true. More analysis to follow ...

And I feel really sorry for the Grizz's. I've never seen a worse TC before:  Crying or Very sad
7 guys losing defense, 5 total offensive ratings lost, 2 in rebounds. All that categories with NO GAIN at all.
Only improvements: 5 guys in handles ...

 Crying or Very sad

Got all I wanted out of the TC.  Garnett stayed the same, Gattling increased in three categories.  Can't complain much.

He's looking very Jameer Nelson'esque.

Well, not the greatest training camp ever...
Rafael dropped one in handle...
Stromile stayed the same
Pierce stayed the same (thank goodness)
Iggy improved his handle (was really hoping for defense), and dropped potential
Hinrich gained one in handling... C A A A- C-...  impressive.
Other rotation players
Ruffin gained one in rebounding and one in defense.  Now by back-up PF.
Foyle lost a rebounding...
Kareem Longley had no change, but got his B potential back.

Emeka with +3, handles, defense and rebounding.  Now one of 3 players in hte league with A rebounding, and only one with A or better in defense and rebounding.  Didn't get worse in anything.  After a "blah" last tc, this one was much better.

Trenton Lo dropped one in defense right after I gave him a 6 year deal.  Guess we know what he played for Sad

Marc Jackson with -2 (handles and rebounding).  Luckily he was only signed for an expiring.  Aaron Williams also dropped a defense, but he's just tradebait as well.

Dalembert stayed the same but dropped a potential.

Salmons with +1 (outside).  Turkoglu went up in outside and defense, down 1 in handles and down one in potential.

Pettit went back up to a B in inside (where he was before last tc).

DA was a worthless signing, it appears.  -3 total.  -1 outside, -1 defense, -1 rebounding.

Boykins with a very good TC.  +1 out, +1 defense, +1 rebounding.  Chauncey -1 rebounding.  MacLean -1 Outside.

Stro actually lost in defense to A- ... which is a surprise
And Iggy NOT gaining defense is a pity ...

I had Nash/Ferry lose defense, Kobe lose scoring and no improvement except Calinoff.

Meanwhile, Stan Manning dropped defense and basically turned into Shareef Abdur Rahim.

Yao lost offense and gained defense.

Your right, missed that.  Well, I had a bad training camp, then...

Well, not the greatest TC for the Knicks but not a horrible one either. The guys that I was hoping to increase (Wells & Miles) didn't really improve. Wells didn't improve at all and Miles only went from a C- to a C in inside scoring and from D- to D.

The Good

Holy Eric Fleisher! My minimum C signing went from a C+ to B in defense, from C+ to B- in inside scoring & Rebounding and from D- to D in handles. That's a total of +5 ratings change!

Richard Ahye went from B to B+ in outside scoring, from C- to C in handles and from D to D+ in rebounding. His defense still stinks but he has the chance to be a great scorer in the future.

Dorrell Wright improved from C to C+ in outside scoring

Miles improved in the two categories listed above.

Caron Butler improved from B+ to A- in defense

The Bad

Francis regressed in outside from B to B-

Sweetney's D went from B to B-

Nazr's D went from A- to B+

Crawford's potential went from B to D (but we all know that scouted potential means almost nothing).

ok, now to the Celtics surprisingly great TC:

as I said, Rocky Elliott was the biggest surprise, but more was to follow:

- 4 guys winning defense (Curry, Jefferson), only Kaman losing some
- Curry, Jefferson, Lenard, Van Exel and Snow winning offense
- Kaman improving in rebounding

Which makes Curry (+2), Jefferson (+3) and Elliott (+6) the big winners
And only Geiger (-1) and Kaman (-1/+1) kind of losers

Other notables: Darko and Vlad staying the same  Very Happy , Dre losing some handles (now more suiting his TO number) but keeping A def, starters Snow and Van Exel keeping def and handles.

All in all the best TC ever in my GM career !   Laughing
