He, when you have the expirings, you had better use them for something Smile

Miles is a roster spot taken up, but with the Pierce trade, I have some spots open.  He is also a nice expiring for next year.

Longley is Iggy insurance.  If Iggy cannot handle playing the SG this year, or if Pierce or Iggy get injured (and gee, what are the odds of Pierce getting injured  Confused  ), Longley can slide into a starting SG spot.

This trade gets Portland close to max money available for next year in free agency as well...

I agree,i got an experienced center with a nice expiring Smile and got rid of Miles my 3rd SF option,now if my planning trade goes trough with the other team,my team is set up for the season.
