I know this came up last year - once the playoffs start, a player who was on the injured reserve can't be brought off of it, correct?

This comes up because I am resting my 4 stars this sim. However, I know that sometimes the computer still plays a player even if he is not on the depth chart.

I don't want Yao, Peja, Mihm or Baron playing this sim. Period.

But if I put them on the IR, then they stay there for the playoffs, correct?

Is there anyway I can make sure my stars don't play at all this sim, and still have them available for the playoffs?

-         For playoff rosters, I cannot change IL spots after the 12th sim.  So, anyone on the IL on your sim 12 depth chart will be on the IL for the remainder of the playoffs (likewise, any player on the active roster will be there the remainder of the playoffs).

He's away so I thought I would answer.

Well, what I've seen sometimes is a DC setup like this:

...
PG  Paxson / Armstrong / Paxson

not in rotation: Jordan, Pippen, Grant
IL: Bagaric / Robinson /  El Amin

...

now would THAT be an option ?

As long as you only have 12 guys on your active roster I am pretty sure it would.  But as Raptors said theres no guarantee that they won't be played since the computer some time does anyway.

I agree but that will most likely not be in a starting assignement and the risk of injury will be far less too

Yeha i read that in the rules Wolves - my question was if there was another way to make sure they didn't play - and thanks for answering that.

You have NO IDEA how mad I will be if one of them plays and gets hurt. I'll quit.

listing them as not in rotation does nothing.  There's no setting for that, and is really extraneous information.  But the computer will sometimes play someone not listed in the depth chart.  Just a risk ya gotta run.
