nice sim 5-2 ....
three games without JO. I lost two of them. with no real inside defense it was two times a shootout.
Artest is outplaying his counterparts at PG. He faced two times Mercer, one time English, Bibby , Tinsley and Miller and only lost once against Mercer the matchup In the last sim the Pacers showed what real depth mean.
Artest avg. 14pts, 6rbs, 9ass, 2stls and only 2 TOs Carmelo avg. 19pts, 5rbs, 3ass, 2stls and only 2 TOs Redd avg. 16pts, 7rbs, 3ass, 1stls and only 1 TOs Antwan avg. as a backup 10pts, 8rbs, 2ass, 1stls and 2 TOs JO even with his injury still managed 20pts, 8rbs, 3ass, 1stls and only 1 TOs
Thats 5 guys avg. in double figures. Foster also avg a near double double with 9 and 12.

finally... Jason Kidd got injured... too bad, he won't be down for sim 3 I was hoping to give Nelson more PT, and he proved a lot... anyway, finally, Dwight is back. He's making my team look great now... With Kidd, Allen and Dwight, I have a big 3. Allen's ppg went down by one, as Kidd's went down by 5, but Dwight went up by 11.

also the matchup with the CAVS so a onesided ruling by the refs. 36 to 12 fouls in favor of the cavs 43 out of 60 FTs to 14/18 also for the cavs. i am not sure what the record is for FTs in one game. to my surprise i could win that game

Rocekts went 3-5.
Not a great sim but it picked up later on after going 0-4. Bibby is immense and Finley is playing like he's in his prime! lol

Hey Dabods, have a new poll for you... Who is the 2nd best center in the league? Rafael Araujo or Emeka Okafor You could certainly make a very strong case for Hoffa. But they're 2 entirely different people. Hoffa's certainly the 2nd best center offensively in the league. But he'll never be the DPOY candidate Emeka is. But then again, Emeka will most likely never score 30 ppg (although I think he could definitely do 25 some day, primarily if he was a #1 option). Right now, IMO, Emeka almost has to be the defensive player of the year. 3rd in the league in rebounding, 1st in the league in blocks, opposing starting C's shooting 32% against him. As a second option, I wouldn't trade 'Meka.

One of the more interesting things about Araujo... in 11 games, only 4 centers have played over 28 minutes against him. He fouls people out like crazy. Fouled out both Biedrins and Wright against the Grizzlies... And those centers that do play over 28 mpg are shooting 39% from the field.
And even though his fouls are high, he is still getting big minutes (36 mpg) Getting Araujo more minutes with defensive protection was the whole point of the Gasol for Swift trade. And it seems to be working.

I know... That is what makes it interesting.

Interesting. Gatling is averaging 23 ppg. great for a rookie. But he's a defensive sieve, right? Opposing sg's are shooting 37.8% against him so far on the year, 30% from downtown.
Gadz with 17/13 with 3.6 blocks this sim. Held starting PF's to 38.5% (of course, he shot 37.8%, lol).
AI with 24.8, 5.6 rpg, 3.16 apg, 3.16 spg, 3.83 topg his first sim with the hawks.
gnobili with 15.5, 6.5, 4, 1.5 steals on 46.4% shooting, 50% from 3pt.
tanner with 11.3, 8.6, 3.14 blocks.
Schabinger not with near the a/to ratio I thought. Much more of a scorer.

Although this is how my team started out last year, I went from 1st to 2nd to last in just one offseason and my team was better ratings wise! I'm working and reworking various DC's which I feel will spell the difference. Kirilenko has not been himself defensively which is surprising (Eschmeyer off the bench is my best defensive player!). I feel that the chemistry of my team is down with Shabinger. I'm just not used to having a scorer at the point (he had 28 and 29 points this sim as a 3rd option). I feel that Shabinger off the bench and Daniels as a starter will be a better bet. Daniels is much more efficient, scores but doesn't demand scoring to contribute. My team just functions much much better with him getting more minutes. I'm back to the starting lineup I won with last year which is supposedly improved from last year. My bench is also better IMO. If i was to still get a lottery pick with this team, I'd just say watch out for the Jazz in coming years.

wonderful way to start my holidays ... Celtics surprised me by ... first falling at home to the Spurs, which came out of nowhere ... consequently lost big at the Bucks ... only to get out west and win all three at Kings, Sonics and Suns. ... another homeloss (Grizzels) left me with a totally acceptable 3-3 sim. The team defense is coming on, even the SG problems could be reduced (TMac still torched me, but he's TMac) and with some small adjustments I think I have something building here ... and btw, i'm 2-5 at home and 4-3 on the road, still trying to figure THAT put ...
