Well, I offered Lovelette a 5yr deal starting at roughly 1.5mio and totalling 9.1mio. So I wonder he took a way worse Raptors offer considering his low loyalty and high greed.

Same offer was issued to Bee, but taking the MLE is understandable there.

So I got MoPete back here for a season, fine. One done, one to go ...

Possibly play for winner? My win rating is so much higher.

Now if that 39 play4winner rating is enough to convince this kid
- to hide behind le Baron for the next 5 years
- for pocket money only (with 73 greed)
- and get stuck in CANADA no less
I question the hoops sanity of Nate.

Must be some sideletter we do not know of (like promising him some hot... well, you get the point !  Wink

and just to get this straight, I do not have anything personally against Canada (I enjoyed my time there), but I remember how 99.98% of all NBA players think about playing north of the border ...

Yeha, you're right. That's why it can suck being a Raptors fan:

1. We get no top FA's.

2. We can't even draft some players because they don't want to be here.

Maybe that classic near-crying scene at the draft told us more about Stevie Franchise' legend than any one of his moves later one - these "Vancouver tears" are what he will be remembered for in 20 years !!!   Laughing

THis year, there was an article after the draft about how Gerlad Green jumped for joy after being passed over by the Raps.

Was pretty happy to sign one of the best FAs this offseason for the MLE.

Wiz has been MIA since the playoffs.

Can we start using the off-season check-in then?
I would never have traded their draft pick in next years draft if I knew they were not around...

I will send them an e-mail at the end of Fa and give them a week to respond.

However, I do not want to do so too quickly, as he has been one of the more active gm's the past 3 seasons.  He missed a grand total of 4 check-ins (out of 36).

Yeah WizGM has been really busy over the past few months (new job and such).  He doesn't post on realgm much anymore either

I had a pretty good day 1

Bradley Bee MLE- I also offered Chamberlain the MLE, but Im happy with Bee because Chamberlain will probably get large offers next year whereas Bee probably wont

Raul Lopez LLE - This is a great pickup for me considering my guard status. He will probably be my #2 pg

Jeff McInnis $5,400,000 1 year - Simply a trading piece. I dont have much need for him, but he will do ok if someone goes down with an injury...

This is a common mis interpretation.  No one wants to play for Toronto because WE SUCK.  Alot of players actually love Toronto (especially last years rookie class, if you watch 'Rookies' on Spike TV they even say that Toronto was one of their favorite places).  I specifically remember reading articles where Elton Brand, Okafor among others said Toronto was their favorite place to play (other than their own cities).  Caribana is immensely popular with players and celebrities, and I believe that many of the 'myths' surrounding Canada have been distinguished over the years.  If we were a winning team, I don't think getting FA's would be much of a problem.  Hopefully the Raps can turn it around by the next 2 years when we finally get our huge cap relief (with Jalen, Zo, etc coming off the books).

Yes, but so far I have rad articles that said Gerald Green was thrilled the Raps didn't draft him, Channing Frye the same, etc.

Even in the Vince glory days, with the east semis - still no marquee FAs ever thought about coming.

AD wanted out - because of the metric system.  Rolling Eyes
