The Pacers select: Micah Hunter, SG, West Virginia.

Gotta scratch my head at this one a bit. Do you need another no defense playing SG? Thought fletcher was custom made for this squad.

Had him 2nd on my list. Explosive scorer, but defense isn't starter quality in this league.

If that potential is off, he will be a top player... And already a very nice scoring back-up. Heir to Redd in the future...

Yes, but fletcher could have started NOW, IMO (unless that potential is off).

If that potential is not true, and Hunter is able to improve some in his ratings, he will be something special. At worst now, he can be a big offensive spark off of the bench.

I think defensive depth is overrated.
From what I see, what most teams could use is a scorer off the bench - I know I could have myself.
Kudos to the Pacers for getting one.

reason for picking hunter was that i had already enough defense depth but no real offense depth. Also if his pot isn´t true he would be a top 5 pick. He is a scorer and there aren´t many backups who can step in and produce. I thought long and hard about taking a C or PG but both needs can also be fixed through FA.
