Movin on down...
Looking at the Hawks and Sonics, I think both of them have a chance to be pretty strong teams, late lotto, maybe even a playoff berth for one of them...
Even though the Spurs have the 8th and a lot of cap space, I am pretty sure that they'll continue to be a top 3 worst team.
Furthermore, I still think that I'll be able to get a solid player at 15.

Wow.
Spurs move up in the draft AND also get 2 potential lotto picks next year. Sonics are a great young team, but maybe a few TC's away from competing hardcore.
Same with the Hawks.
I like this trade alot for the spurs. I look for the Raps first to be low again. However, that Spurs first might be the kicker, as it went number 1 this year.
It's really impossible to tell who is the winner.

Interesting.
Spurs move up 7 spots, which is significant.
If the Spurs pick next year is significantly better than the Hawks pick next year, then the Hornets win. Otherwise, the Spurs moved up 7 spots and while the Sonics should improve next year, they won't be better than the Raptors.

yup. Won't know until next draft.
Besides, if the Hornets are targetting a guy who will be there at 15, then they don't have much risk.

It's a gamble for sure, but I really think that the Sons and Hawks will be better than the Spurs.
In the draft, quality is better than quantity (except a draft like this one).

I moved up in this draft and the players I am looking at probably wouldn't be available at #15. So in a sense it was worth swapping the two 2009 picks just for that.
As far as 2009...I feel that I moved up (Raptors to Sonics) and moved down (Spurs to Hawks). However if both Sonics and Hawks in up out of the playoffs I traded 1 lotto + low, low first for 2 lottos.
