The Hawks select: Ivan Strong, PF, Yale.

The more I thought about this pick, the more I liked it. If he gets himself up to even a B defensively, he could be an all-star.

To tell you the truth, I'll be rather surprised if he ever gets to B+, B+ offensively and B defense. That's a total 8 rating increase right there.

Oh, I'd be surprised as well. But it's not impossible.

I like this pick, but it's a HUGE risk for me, Nesterovich would have been a good player now but the potential for Strong to be B B offense and even B- defense is still a good player alongside by good defensive players. I'm hoping if he improves enough to start that my other solid defensive players can help make up for his lacking defense, such as what happens with Ray Allen in the SSBA

Yeah. I think the big edge he had over Nesterovich, and probably the reason you took him, was rebounding. With an A potential, he could end up a double digit rebounder. Nesterovich had no shot. Having a 7'3" shotblocking machine can help mask defensive inadequacies. Having 2 C rebounders in your frontcourt, however, probably could have never worked.

Well, after looking over the remaining players, I see 13 that I would like to get, meaning one of them will drop to me.

A nice pick... Should be interesting to see how his defense improves. High risk pick here....
Boom or bust with Strong, imo...
Could be the next Dirk, could be the next Brian Cardinal (whish is not too shabby, as a player off the bench)

Ditto what the Cavs said. It would be interesting to see if he can play sf.

the ratings didn't change at all with the move to SF, probably gonna keep him at PF though because his shot could be more of a threat
