I'm really glad this was possible !

Great trade for both teams. Gooden moves back to his natural position - where his production will explode - and the Rockets get a real great PG now to team with Booze and Fin.

Swapping Francis for Bibby will hurt some though, but maybe, just maybe the teaming with TMac, Drew and Brad will help old Stevie to get his reputation back on track - otherwise it will be along 2 years in Sacto.

I still cant see how this trade would justify the C-webb for Francis trade..

Oh...uhhhh....Kings....

I really thought that this was going to be Bibby-Boozer, and thought that would have been a good trade for both teams.

But this, this was not a good trade for you. Gooden is, well, average I guess. Except he's working on a 7 year max contract.

Kings, I'm sorry my friend, but Miller/Webber/Radman/Tmac/Bibby is a HELL of a lot better than Miller/Gooden/Radman/Tmac/Franchise.

true.. but I suppose that he only needs Mike Miller and Andrew DeClercq and he'll have the Magic All-Stars Wink in real life though Very Happy

Well, I'm glad you got the trade in.  I don't think it was a good trade though.

IMO Bibby has the ratings and stats to be the best pg in the league.  I think you needed more for him.  I think both Francis and Gooden aren't worth their contracts, or ratings.

That being said, Webber was a huge questionmark and a future problem, with his age and contract.

Who knows, maybe Webber and Bibby weren't as good defensively as their ratings indicated.  Maybe Gooden has developed into a shutdown defender.  I haven't analyzed the opposition's stats, so I don't know.  We'll just have to see.

alright alright. let me explain this.

1. Webber is 32, i couldn't find any takers for him and i'd probably not resign him so that means i don't get anything in return and even with cutting his sallaries i'm still in cap space hell. Pistons GM came up with this idea and i just said what a hell. i was tired of having a big old hole at PF although he played very well for me, but still he was only C+ rebs and A- defense will probably go down after this season.

2. Having Francis allowed me to move Bibby for so much needed young PF who would hustle, play defense and rebound. Yes, Bibby is 5X better then Francis and he's better then Gooden but i didn't have any choice. So stop with this BS how i should have gotten better PF for Bibby when it's pretty clear that i offered Bibby to anyone with good PF and everyone turned my offer down. Gooden was the only choice at the end.

3. Francis is...well, dissapointment but i'll give it a try. he'll be my 4th option and playing along Tmac, Gooden and Miller i hope his assist goes up and TO's get down. all i'm aksing is 10ppg/7apg/ and no more then 3.5 tpg. i think he can do that in my team.

4. Gooden. 11/11 guy with A- defense/A-rebounds, perfect fit for miller and mcgrady. i think his numbers could be something like 15/11 on PF position.

yes, contracts are horrible, but even without them, i didn't have any cap flexibility + Gooden is always a good trade asset and is still very young. i'm very sorry cause i had to trade Bibby who's probably the best PG in the league but i think you can always find good pointguard. on the other hand, finding a right PF is much harder. so anyway here are the comparision;

BEFORE

Mike Bibby
tracy mcgrady
vlado radmanovic
chris webber
brad miller

NOW

steve francis
tracy mcgrady
vlado radmanovic
drew gooden
brad miller

i think the second one is alot better and younger. + defense is also better now, that's: A-, A-, A-, A-, A-.

so, we'll see. i think this is a very good team now.
