Injured Players on DC

Pierce is injured for 4 more days, but I want to put him on DC anyway.
So for those 4 days he's still injured, how is my DC going to look? Will Pierce play because I put him on my DC, even though he's injured?

He can't play if he's injured, the computer won't allow it.
If you put an injured guy in the rotation, I believe the computer will just simply go to the next guy on the depth chart for the games he's still injured. So, if you put Pierce #1, it will just go to your 2nd option and play him as 1 and 2.
