Warriors agree to this trade...

With the loss of Kaman, I need another young big man to back-up at C, and big Jake is perfect.
Eric Snow is a good back-up, 2.3 apg vs. 0.6 tpg in 11 mpg, but I am more desperate for big man help.
Jaric can easily fill in at back-up point, his original position anyway.

Decent trade for both teams. Tskaldis was one of the top 20 C's in the League before he took such a major ratings hit in TC.

As for Snow, good handler, decent defender, maybe just what the Jazz needed.

Look at his last year stats.

Hell, even look at his this year stats.

He's a pretty damn good backup big man.

hm...then i could also say that

corie blount; 4ppg, 4rpg in 14 minutes

vitali potapenko; 4ppg, 5rpg in 14 minutes

darius songalia; 5.7ppg, 4.4rpg in 17 mpg

are also pretty damn good backups, but i don't think so...

Now this is a good trade for the Warriors. Jake still is young and has room for improvement and unless he commands big $ next year (not impossible) he can be a great backup for years.

I don't quite get what this deal brings for the Jazz (a team I really like and with that defensive energy they can win every game on D alone). They lose a player they have no replacement for (Big Fat O may do it this year, but Postell is years away) and get a nice old PG that brings nothing on offense with a bad contract.

Hmmm, makes you wonder if more deals will follow ...

I have a nice draft pick and I'm sure Booth will resign for me next year. You never know what my MLE and LLE will bring in and Troy Murphy can play center for me, he's as tall as booth and weighs more. Jake wasn't in my rotation for me and my backup PG was my weakest area, and Snow's B- defense is nice considering Daniels, who can be injury prone, is only a C+. I could see my 2nd 5 (Snow, Beardslee, George, Declerq, Miller) starting for a team and even stealing some wins. This wasn't a big trade by any means, but I get a little extra production (and 2 less turnovers) per game for a player who wasn't playing.
