Hawks go 3-5, not a good sim for us...Melo, Houston and Tanner all played ok but not good enough...Tayshaun's effectiveness is starting to drop a lot...Alvin Schenk is really stepping it up and I hope that he can be a big time factor in my playoff push

Dwight had a 42pts, 18 rebounds performance not to mention a 18-23 field goal. AMAZING!

Probably a little early for this, but I think the East comes down to the Nets, Raptors, Hornets or Pacers.  And I'm really only putting in the Pacers because of what they were and what they should be.

i think magic will surprise alot of people

I need my boys to come back from injury, I was really excited to see what pavel could do as a starting C. Plus, Christie was the 3rd guard in my rotation.

As for the pissing contest  Smile , I will predict the Raptors as champs. But:

Nets 91, HORNETS 72
Hornets 92, RAPTORS 86

And Battier absolutely shut down Marion.

there is really no SF in the league that I would take over Marion. I think he's the best at his position, although Peja will get all-league first team and Kiri will get all-defensive first team. 2.4 blocks as a SF is pretty amazing.

Paul Pierce, Dirk, Shawn Marion.

Defense counts.

Team record doesn't make mihm better than garnett.  That's the most laughable comment I've ever heard.

Paul Pierce over Peja is one of the most laughable comments I've ever heard.

Being able to handle the ball matters too.  Being available to play big minutes matters too. Scoring matters too.

And now you've listed Dirk as a SF and a PF.

At this stage I'd take Mihm over O'Neal. And I'd sure as hell take Peja over Paul Pierce.

I doubt all-league first team, but it should be 2nd or 3rd team. Marion should be all-league first team, but a case can easily be made for Peja over Peirce and Dirk.

Raptors 108, NETS 103

Peja dropped 37 on Battier.

Dirk plays SF so he belongs in this discussion of SF's.

Fine, take dirk out of the PF discussion and put Hoffa in, and the discussion still stands.

As for Pierce vs. Peja, not even close to laughable.  26.5 ppg with A- defense  I would take over 29 ppg at B defense.  Obviously Peja's going to turn the ball over less.  He's a set shooter.

And if you're going to completely devalue a guy based on turnovers, that takes Baron davis and his 2nd in the league 4.9 turnovers per game out of the running for best pg.  What's the difference between Baron and Chauncey?
Baron: 15.2 ppg (43.3%, 69%, 35%), 10 apg, 4.9 topg (2/1 a/to), 2.6 spg
Chauncey: 15.2 ppg (46.7%, 82%, 37.5%), 9.3 apg, 3.6 topg (2.6/1 a/to), 2 spg.

Statistically about the same (score the same, chauncey does so much more efficiently, baron gets slightly more steals and assists, but Chauncey has a better a/to and s/to ratio).  So what's the difference?  Defense.  Chauncey's a B defender.

If you're going to tell me Pierce can't be better than Peja because of TO's, even though he's a better defender, I'll tell you Baron can't be better than Chauncey because of TO's, even though Baron's a better defender.

Obviously, that's laughable.  Just like your dismissal of Pierce.

And Dirk, IMO, is clearly better.  Still puts up 25 pts, with great percentages, and plays A defense, without turnovers.   Just like I think Marion is CLEARLY better.  Heck, now that Kirilenko has moved to SF, I'd take him over Peja.

We could sit here and wait until the computer makes the selections, but that would be stupid.  The computer deciding doesn't make one right or wrong.  But if you honestly think Mihm's the best PF in the game, and to a lesser extent Peja's the best SF in the game, then you have issues.

I never said Mihm is the best PF in the game, I said he is a POTENTIAL all leaguer, which is top 3, doughhead.

And I DO think my team is the best team in the League, and Mihm and Peja are a part of that team.

I am not satisfied with how the clippers are performing lately... but that last 4-4 sim should have been better if it wasnt for Kwame Brown to be injured in 4 losses.

No, Tmac's having a better year, but it's close.  Pettit's efficiency as a #1 option-guard (1.28 pps) is simply unbelievable.  There are only 2other guards in the top 10 in scoring, tmac (1.20 pps) and Pierce (1.23 pps) aren't even close to as efficient.

And even though Tmac's having a better year, no way I'd trade Pettit for him.
