agreed, the responses should be interesting i agree...I have daniels who's ratings went down, but he was still an all-star last year with sub-all-star ratings, but I was fed up with francis's 4 TO's a game and I feel that daniels numbers will be very close if not better if you consider assist:TO ratio. I also get rid of Francis's contract.

I gain a solid young PF with B potential so I have some guaranteed future inside. I also gain Devin George who is a very good back-up who shoots very well from everywhere, and I gained a decent back-up PG for Jiri Welsch who wasn't playing anyways and opens up more playing time for Isaac Beardslee who's been a very nice surprise for me.

My reasoning:  C and PF positions were already locked up, so Murphy was a huge contract with no position on my team...  Only reason I resigned George was for trading purposes and Parker was a throw-in(as was Welsch), so the Jazz would have a back-up PG...  I will be moving Francis to the SG postion where hopefully he will just shoot so he doesn't have the chance to turn to ball over so much...  Also, I have a feeling it might be a little easier to move Francis than Murphy...  He, along with basically everyone else on my roster in on the block...

well, both of you were looking for your needs but overall winner is jazzGM IMO. his frontcourt gets better with murphy and george is nice at sf. pistons will probably move francis to sg so his turnovers will probably go down, but still, he earns too much money for that kind of stats...but, the first 3 position is now great for the pistons in a face pace style with nash, francis, ginobilli...but we'll see how his ratings change at sg

Especially at pg I thought Francis was terribly overrated.  But Jazz now have an overcrowded frontcourt.  I'm not sure if anyone wins, to be honest.

Overcrowded this year yes. But that's just because of oliver miller. Postell and Tsakalidas will be lucky if they get more minutes than splinters.

i'm not sure if daniels is the pg solution, his defense is only C+. B handles probably doesn't help either. his turnovers could go up to francis numbers...

You have to remember there are 2 different aspects to handling.  Creating for others and not turning the ball over.  Daniels was only a B handling last year and had one of the best assist to turnover ratios in the league.  To me that means that he's great at not turning the ball over, but mediocre at creating for others.

I'm still interested in Strom/Ferry/Manu. If you ever think of anything, let me know. Just not Yao.

As for the trade, I really don't like it for either team. I think Francis is very overrated.

francis like everyone agrees is very overrated, you never know how he'll fit to a new team and I think his role there will fit him better. I desperately needed help with my front line and so I got rid of a overpaid underperformer for some more promise and consistency inside. With how I'm performing I needed to make a move and I'm interested in seeing how this plays out for me.
