Hi KnicksGM, welcome to our League and since I'm here just for a couple of days more I can really, really feel for you.  Here are a few tips for your startup: - Never, ever tinker with your roster within the first 48 hours. You'll get millions of trade offers and none, I repeat NONE will help you. You'll lose your best players and get average players or bad draft picks or, worse, average players with bad contracts on the decline.  - Learn the rules! Read em and try to understand em and watch the other GMs doing their jobs. Everything you do is based on the rules and not knowing them will throw you back.  - See what you have got on your roster. Experiment. Try out different lineups and settings. sometimes you find gems where you didn't expect them.  -and finally: ASK. If you don't understand sometging or not sure bout something, someone will be online. We're spread from the Phillipines to the West coast and cover almost all time zones existing, additionally we're all crazy and spend more time here than with our kids, company, family or friends alltogether, so someone is online all the time.  So have phun, don't get a depression after your first 26-game losing streak and BE ACTIVE !  P.S. There is a exception though: If someone offers you a superstar (take Darko Milicic) for a selfish scrub (take Jamal Crawford), you have to immediately accept as this proposal might never come back. (hey, why isn't there a emo for "totally and uttermost honesty possible"???) |

well i doubt it's a welcome since the knicks are in sooo wonderfull cap and players quality situation, but i wish you good luck...
btw would you consider maybe 2 future second rounders+fillers for jamal crawford? welcome....

Thanks for the welcome guys! lol, From the looks of things this league is very active and has a number of humourous posters (thanks for the tips CelticsGM ). I've got some pretty good experience in BFTG, BDSL, SLC & NBSL and am really looking forward to this league (even if it is with the capped out Knicks). Don't worry, I also will not be accepting junk - my team already has enough of it and I don't need anymore |
