Not too bad.  Went 6-2 with a new lineup and new offensive focus, despite guys getting hurt all over the place.  Camby missed 5 games, and because of a DC mixup that was entirely my own fault, I had Hunter starting at C instead of Cato, so Cato went from being a starting center to the bench/3rd big man when Camby went down.

But unlike Raptors' opinion, the duo of Camby/Cato played pretty darn well: in game 1, MC got 19 and 15 with 3 blocks, and KC got 13 and 16 with 6 dimes.  In game 2, MC got 16 and 14 with 7 blocks, and KC got 12 and 14 with 2 blocks.  Camby went down in game 3, and Cato was playing Shaq, so that's as far as the comparison can go.

Plus, with Boykins now starting, he messed around and dropped a triple double in game 3.  He also sports a 10.4/1.4 assist-to-TO ratio through 8 games.

Camby got hurt in game 3, Cato in game 7, and Allen in game 8, so the next DC will have some major changes.

Oh, and Collison averaged a 13 and 8 over 30 MPG, shooting 54%.  When Camby went down and he became the starting PF, he went for 16 and 15, 14 and 9, 18 and 12, 29 and 16 against the Jazz (on 12-17 shooting), and then 14 and 7 with 5 blocks against Jermaine O'Neal.  I think it's safe to say that I don't miss KMart too much.

edit: I totally overlooked Carter.  Averaged 22 on 49% shooting, 40% from beyond.  Nothing special, just a consistent 2nd option, which is all I was looking for.

shit, i'm the worst defensive team in the league and second best in offense

i alow 106ppg and my starting five is on defense B+,A-,A-,A-,A- and the rest of the bench; B-,B-,B+,B-,B,B-,B+,B+ and B...

i don't get it Bash

forget this kind of stats.
if you check your bockscore you will see that you lost against teams you are supposed to loose. you played 5 teams with a great inside core and your biggest problem is inside defense and rebounds.take your time and wait two more sims than you can tell if you have to make adjustments.

LOL, looks like Mo Pete has found a home.  The Suns are giving him 39 minutes per night and he's averaging 7/6/3 with 1.4 SPG.  Not bad for Mo Pete standards, although he really has to get those %'s up

Damn, whats up with Kobe

Yeah, MoPete played well, he had to step in and start for Hamiliton when he went down.

3-4 isent bad with my bestplayer out of action. i had hoped for a 4-3, 5-2 sim with kobe in the lineup, but i'll take the 3-4 w/o him. hopefully he can stay healthy. i was very happy with collier/Lo combo at center, and K-Mart/McDyess pf duo. and i like Hav at the point, his progression is going to be a key for my team.

5-3 is very solid for my schedule..
biggest surprise so far are the bullls imo
redd is just insane.. against the rockets he almost had his first triple double
but i will have to try to give JO more shots..
next sim will be crazy 9 games in 9 days and also against very tough opponents.. if i can go 4-5 it will be okay.

When your team has no offensive stars the results are interesting.

Tinsley putting up 20/5/8
Donta Smith putting up 19/6/3

I couldn't access Team Rosters before making the first depth chart so I computer recommended everything.  I didn't know Tinsley's offense and Harpring's offense and rebounding had gone up.

Well, as almost everyone is excited and happy about day 1, I can say I'm definitely NOT. I know rebuilding is a harsh and sometimes longtime process, but it's still pretty tough to lose home games to the Hawks AND Lakers on the first day as a GM (I believe in reality I'd already have a "date" with the owner scheduled).

While Eddy did what expected (although not at a .393 clip), even holding down Yao to get my first win, and Barry probably needs just more offensive freedom, the rest of the crew played, well, average at best. You could make a case that these guys ARE average now, but still ...

... not even ONE standout performance from ANYBODY in 7 games played is a bit frustrating.

But anyway, it's back to the practice facility for my guys (just 5 games in next Sim) and as of now the spirit is still high! We will continue the young way and everybody gets a chance to perform here. And as soon as I figure out a system that fits my team (currently I have NO CLUE  Wink ) - which might take half the season - we'll win our share of games as well.

Pistons are 3-5!  Completely horrible...  I Lose to the Magic by 3, then beat them by 20+...  Lose 2 close games to the Bulls, then Blow out the T-Wolves by 51 and 21...  Then lose a close one to the Pacers and lose by 20 to the Heat...  This is very weird, I averaged 97.8 ppg and my opponents are averaging 91.3 ppg and I have a losing record???  Figure that one out...

Anyways Ferry played well averaging 22 ppg and 7 rpg(rpg needs to go up), Stromile played well also averaging 20 ppg and 7 rpg...  Gadzuric picked up where he left off in the play-offs averaging 14 ppg and 10 rpg...

Looks like I have a good team, but I need to mess around with my DC...

2-6, not a good record at all, Tanner played well and so did Melo, but both may be on their way out of town, I'm fed up w/my team...time for a change in strategy and personnel

The Grizzlies are off to a slow start. The only reason behind this is because of poor shooting from the entire team. Look for them to rebound next sim. One highlight is the play of Del Negro who in 1-2 seasons will be the next Ray Allen but with better defense.

Guess he'll probably end up closer to the ocean, likes the Bay Area more than the Mile High City (which I personally prefer as well ... Wink )
