I find it funny how I'm getting called out for defending the RocketsGM. Personally, I don't much care if I raped him or not.

Pacers- Like it has been documented before, Peja is expiring with a greed rating of 93. That's not easy to resign. Also, he doesn't play great defence.

And I still think this is a lopsided trade whichever way you look at it.

Nets- fine, if he traded a backup for a starter. But Cato is not anything special. His stats have been slightly inflated due to the teams he has played on, and last year he shot 42% from the field, a terrible percentage for a C. Believe me, I know about terrible percentages, I have Chris Mihm.

Plus there is the whole issue about building the Nets dynasty.

yea peja will ask for the max which is way more than gooden is now earning as i remember  Shocked
there is no reason to give up a possible max typ player for a sure max type player ...
i think your raps dynasty isn´t bad either with davis you have one of the best pgs still young enough...
with peja possible the best shooter in this league next to Allen and with yao at least one of the top 3 also still young...
if you can find something for mihm you will have 4 very good starters like the nets so i will call it pretty even...

Another point is that i think billups will destroy the chemistry of the nets..
he will shoot more than daniels and so the scoring will drop of either emeka or more likely of his famous rookie ....

Maybe Peja won't resign.

But hey, lets talk about my Rockets trade after it's finished.

Nuggs could have got ALOT more for Billups. That's the bottom line.

it would only make sense if martin is traded for an Allstar Sf or near there..

Kenyon's ratings stay EXACTLY the same when moved to SF from PF.  So the only real concern is his outside shooting ability.  But neither of his guards drive the lane, they are both jumpshooters, which require the frontcourt to force double teams in the paint, not spread the floor.

As for my "dynasty", please, 29 year old pg's who don't play D a dynasty does not make.

And I disagree about Billups destroying my chemistry.  If you saw the effectiveness of this team, it was crying out for a 3rd scorer.  Badly.  Battier has no interest in it, Dalembert couldn't, and neither of my pg's after the Daniels trade were 3rd scorers.  He will open up the lane for Pettit, and take double teams off Okafor.  I have no doubt that Okafor will get his 20, and Pettit will get his 25.

It depends...
If Pettit goes up to an A- defense, the Nets will be fine defensively.  But a B- B+ backcourt can get you into trouble against good jumpshooting teams (Emeka and Sammy's D is neutralized by outside shooting.

But, if Pettit goes up, you likely have A,A,A,A-,B- defensive lineup, and Billups is a great scorer...

Although, truly, how could he be any better offensively then Daniels was last year for the Nets?  It makes the Nets as good as they were last year before the Daniels trade, imo....

For the Nuggets, Billups was a backup.  Cato gives the Nuggets a nice frontcourt rotation defensively.  And now maybe a defensive guy can back-up both Boykins and Allen.

At least I feel better about my offseason now.  My offseason went from bad (only having 4 players and NO draft picks, not signing either of the 2 I wanted) to worse (losing a draft pick in free agency).

Now I at least have a starting 5.

I need someone to take my 6+ mili in free agency though so I can use my MLE and LLE

I'll take it. I can back you up at PG. I have pretty good handles (I'd say F+ or so). However, the rest would be F-. Hope you can live with that.

Congrats, you just kicked Delonte West off my team. C ya at Fleet Center on saturday 5pm for TC. Got a shoe deal as well but won't pay more than 2.5mil per, don't worry though, I'll ask the /// CEO to double that.

And if youu don't like wind sprints, no problem. Me neither. Rolling Eyes

Great. Don't worry, just signed my own shoe deal. Here's a pic of me wearing them:

They may not look like much, but I get tripped and fouled all the time. Too bad I'm just a 50% FT shooter.

As for TC, don't think I'll bother to come. My actual potential is Z.
