See how all those trades panned out.

I can't expect too much with all the new guys, with Gooden and Ellis out of position, and with Mihm out for 4 days.

That means Amal McNoSkill will be starting for 4 games against the Nuggs, Hawks, Kings, Bulls. Expected 2-2 there.

Then play Grizz, Heat, Pacers. Expected 1-2 there.

Anything better  than 3-4 and I will be thrilled.

Sonics lost every game this sim, and I now have zero players in double digits in scoring.

However, I now possess the #1, #2, #5 and #8 picks plus the Warriors pick, which is non-lottery right now.

In addition, the Sonics have $11 million in contracts next year.  That leaves approximately $30 million to spend on the FA class.

Add five good young rookies to the young roster that I already have (baly, litwack, collier) with a sprinkling of FA studs and you have yourself a contender again.

only lost one game and would have a chance to get the best record in the league but dikembe is out for the season  Evil or Very Mad

at the moment i like my matchup with the cavs. my small and quick C are doing verv well against Z.
Also i do have now 4 players avg. more than 10 points 4 ass and 4 reb and also shooting over 45% from the field in the last two sims.
i don´t think i can maintain my position but i hope for homecourt advantage.
Best game this year so far was my game against the raptors  Very Happy

Uh oh.

Bad sim.

2-5. Won the first two games, lost the next 5. Defense was terrible. Not good. not good at all.

Everyone's stats took a big hit. Not sure why. Not really sure at all what happened.

For some reason Amal McCaskill played alot of time. He played pretty good though. 6.4ppg, 7.4 rpg, 1.3 bpg.

Not really sure what to do. Guess the fast pace didn't give the defense time to get set. Gonna have to go back to Normal, I guess.

Anyway, game recaps:

Raptors 106 Nuggets 97

- Boozer had 28 and 11...Ellis had 21 pts, 11 rebs in 29 min off 8-11 shooting...Davis had 14, 7 and 6 in his first game.

Raptors 106 Hawks 96

- Monster game by Boozer, 39 pts, 19 rebs, Wow...Ellis also had a fantastic game with 24 pts, 7 rebs off 11 of 15 shooting...McCaskill had 11 pts and 18 rebs....

Kings 106 Raptors 103

- Davis had 20 pts, 12 asts...Boozer had 28 and 7...Kings shot 54%, that's crazy against my defense which should supposedly be good...Good game by Wilcox with 12 pts.

Bulls 119 Raptors 90

- Wow, got ruined by the Bulls...For somre reason Boozer played only 19 minutes, maybe he got injured or something...Ellis had 21 pts, 4 rebs...Gooden had 14 and 14...Davis had just 5 asts...3 Bulls scored 24 pts or more...

Grizzlies 112 Raptors 82

- Beat by 19, then 20?? Why?? Grizz outscored me by 24 in the 4th quarter, that's why....Boozer played just 17 minutes in this one too! That's inexplicable....Wilcox stepped in had 17pts, 14rebs, but shot just 6 of 18...I shot just 26%, Grizz shot 50%...

Heat 121 Raptors 84

- Yikes. This sim just got worse and worse. Heat shot 55%...Nothing really to comment on, 37 pt losses will do that to ya.

Pacers 116 Raptors 84

- The last of the blowouts for this sim, thank God. Davis had 22 and 9, but I got out rebounded 55-35...Pacers shot SIXTY PERCENT while I shot 34%. Something seriously bad happened to the defense.

I'm seriously wondering if this had anything to do with me changing Mihm, Boozer and Gooden to SF. It isn't supposed to matter, but maybe it did. Both Mihm and Boozer played under 30 mins per game, which is crazy. I'm gonna have to do alot of tinkering.

Ostertag's second game with the Hornets was a 11pt, 22 reb gem. Et tu, Sonics??

I guess some of it must stem from the fact that I ran a fast pace, and went inside. I was hoping to get lots of penetration by Ellis/Davis, and I guess maybe it didn't work.

Next sim I'm trying a normal pace, balanced offense. We'll have to see.

Maybe I have the too many options disease like I did at the start of the year, but I hope not.

Bods, how much did you change the Kings to make them go 3-2? I see Tmac still didn't get any burn.

Interesting sim for me...
went 2-3, was expecting 3-2.  However, still move up the 7th in the playoff race.
Gasol, is not liking the fast pace, it appears...
21 pts, 11 reb, 2 assits, and 3 blocks on 35% shooting.  Luckily he went to the line 10 times per game.

Hinrich, scored well, but assists were down...
13.6 pts, 5.6 assists, 4.4 rebs, on 44% and 43% shooting...

Odom played well... Had a 7 TO game, though, which needs to stop...
19.6 pts, 7 rebs, 4 assists, 3 TO's on 40% and 47% shooting..

Kaman was very impressive, in 18 mpg, he has 8.4 pts and 8 rebs on 56% shooting.  He may have earned himself a starting nod.

Pleased with Jaric at the SG spot...  7ppg, 5 rebs, and 1.8 steals...  those steals are big, I am the worst at creating TO's in the league.

My team is now a very good rebounding team, with Kaman and Odom playing.  Averaged 54 rebs per game, to my opponents 49.5...

1-4 without Melo..Terp played well in his first sim with the Hawks but he was the 2nd option because of Melo being out, Tanner also played decent as the #1 option but his FG% needs to go up soon...bad thing about Terp is that he goes down to a B- defender at the SG, hopefully Melo's ratings don't change at all at SG or some more dealing might need to be done

He only has 13 players under contract, so I could only put one player on IR.  Put McGrady on IR, the other guys he requested on IR I didn't put in the depth chart, but the computer still decided ot plaly them.

6-2 sim.  Lost to 2 of the best teams in the league, Nuggets on the road and Pacers at home.  Here's an odd-ball stat for you.  I'm 2-2 against the pacers this year.  Won both of my road games and lost both of my home games.  Screwy

Huge road win against the Heat.  Absolutely huge.  Puts me up 1.5 games with 2 sims to go.  Okafor struggled that game shooting, going 3-17 against the diesel.  But he grabbed 15 boards and blocked 3 shots in only 26 minutes (fouled out), and held Shaq to around 1 point/shot.  All in all we held them to 38% shooting.

18 games left and only need to go 7-11 to get 50 wins.  Nice.  When I signed Battier, 50 was my goal.  I should exceed that.

Went 3-1 on the road, that's nice to see.

Scored 100 ppg on 46% shooting, 38% from downtown.  Held opponents to 88.7 ppg on 43% shooting.  That's an incredible differential.  Effective on both ends of the court.  +5 turnover differential.

Just with I could hit my free throws.  I get there a ton, made only 67% of them as a team.

Emeka and Pettit are shaping up to be one of the best 1-2 punches in the game in years to come.
Emeka: 22.4 ppg, 13.6 ppg, 3.3 apg, 2.5 bpg.  Only shot 41.6%, but take out that 3-17 against the Shaq and he was very efficient.
Pettit: 28.9 ppg, 6.5 boards, 5.25 assists, only 2.25 to's.  His best a/to I can remember.  49.7% shooting, 40% from downtown, 89.6% from the line.  29 ppg on 21 shots.

Payton's happy to be here.  in 33 mpg he put up 10.5 pts, 7.75 assists, 1.5 steals.  Watson's giving me a terrific 15 minutes/night.

Should be an interesting final 2 sims.  My easy teams are gone.  Two very tough weeks coming up.

Well, my 7 man rotation experiment didn't work Smile , I went 3-4

Right now I don't care about making the playoffs, I just want to end off on a good note and find the right settings for my team

Dude, you are not accounting for the money that those draft picks will cost you...
