Buck Williams's rebounding at the 3 will be absolutely huge for this team.

and the Hornets finalls got rid of Mr. inconsistency. Nice ...
and I guess the Raps can really use a top dog too, making this work both ways.

I don't mind when inconsistency leads to 25 average. I think I have enough other options to pick up the slack.
I do agree that it's a good trade both ways. When the HornetsGM approached me with the idea of a Nique-Buck swap I valiently tried to get something else in return but I'm pretty happy with the deal. I think the Kite/KWill/Nique/Blackman/Kersey lineup gives me a nice balance of offense and defense.

Nique's an awesome player, and I don't mean to talk bad about him at all. In fact, I think the Raps got the better end of the deal here talent-wise. Nique will put up huge numbers for the Raps -- probably 30+ ppg. I agree that it's a good trade for both of us.
My biggest weakness last season was my rebounding. Buck is a major upgrade in that area, and is a better defender (on paper) than Nique. Maybe I can also get more of an inside-out game going. I also have the option of moving Buck to PF, should the need arise.
If this works out the way I think it will, I'll be even better than last season.

I miss SSBA the way it used to be, when if the defending champ traded a 25+ppg scorer, this would have been a 12 page thread by now, with everyone weighing in with an opinion.

in the old days you would have traded just a bunch of role players for a 25+pts player. you remember the famous yao, peja rape

Hahah oh yeah, how could I forget...but anytime I am reminded of that, I am reminded that I trade Hoffa for a couple coffee beans and a half chewed peice of dubble bubble

hehe btw, i picked up Hoffa in another league two days ago. We did the 2004 draft there, and of course his ratings sucked big time 137 Rafael Araujo C 24 6'11'' 280 C- D+ F+ C- C B Nobody on the (live) draft board could understand my sheer excitement when he was still available for pick #47 ...
