did ok in most games. shaw will get the start at PG. he is a nice defender and ball distributor. i don't care about his shooting %. Palacio as a non option is avg. 20pts dwight on the other hand is now finally feeling his age. he is now avg. under 30mins a game but still avg over 20pts and 10 boards. hopson can shoot without a doubt but still lacks some defense skills.

Very please with how my backups have performed.
Firstly, Keyon Brunson showed he can rebound with the best of them with 8.0rpg in only 25 minutes
Sam Mitchell gave a solid 7ppg off the bench (16 minutes)
Also, Gary Grant looks the real deal averaging17.1ppg, 4.4rpg and 8.4apg. However, he did throw the ball away 4 times per game...
Only person I was really dissapointed with was Olden Polynice

between Hakeem and Rik Smits, my inside game is shaping up nicely. NOw it's just a matter of figuring out the right settings to win.

Pretty dominant performance, but, unlike most, I had my prospective starting lineup in for the sim.

I did as well, and went 13-4 despite Borgmann and Tyler both missing 5 games due to injury. Bailey I had backing up C/PF/SF but he got a bunch of starts and put up some great numbers (11reb, 2.8blk in 37min). Not bad for MLE. Evans and Magic combined to average 46pts, 13.4reb, 13.2ast, 3.9stl.

Hornets: Totally dominating. Reminds me of my team in DJSL that brought me back to back titles. With unstoppable scoring tandem on the PG,SG and SF positions. While the frontcourt shoulders the defensive load.
Malone: He seems to be benefiting on the passing abilities of Rod Strickland and Lord.
Injury: Julius Erving, Rod Strickland and Jeremy Munson were injured most of the sim.
Rod Strickland: What can I say? He already already has a triple double.
Mitch Richmond: He's playing above his potential and expectations. Great job!

I think that should get rid of questions as to whether Buck can handle the offensive load (and at SF no less), and if we have secondary scoring.
Went 9-4 without Ewing in the lineup. Basically going to start this lineup with Kite instead of Salley (who gave us 11/9/1.5blk in starter minutes) and Pressey instead of Chapman (who had a nice sim starting going for 11/4/3/1.9 steals). I think I can get the 22 points from Kite and Pressey that I got from Salley and Chapman, and the defence should be that much better.
Buck was the big story of PS1 going for 28.6ppg, 10.7rpg, 1.5spg and shooting 51.5% from the floor. He did turn the ball over alot, but we were still in the top 10 in least topg and apg. The secondary story, almost as big as the first, was Kwill exploding at PF, going for 19.6 and 12.3 in 32 mins and shooting 43.7%.
The league leader page was littered with Raptors - Buck was 5th (!!) in minutes per game, the only big man in the top 10. He was also 4th in points per game and 10th in rebounds from SF (!!).
- Willis was 3rd in rebounds. Kersey was 3rd in assists. Willis and Buck were 3-4 in FTs per game. Kersey was 4th in FT %. Willis led the league in fouls per game, meaning you probably don't want to send your star PG into the paint when he's there.
Here's hoping all of this excitement isn't moot because of the fact this is preseason, which is very likely.

Michael Schader averaging 27ppg for the Cavs? Amazing ... even while being top 5 in the league in TOs (as SG !) And look at the Pacers rookie PG Shaw. Picked #27 he's top10 in the league in assists AND steals, and already has a 21ass game. Amazing ... Manning looks nice too. Will be interesting what he can do if he doesn't have the green light to jack them up 25 times a game. Overall, one of the weakest NBA drafts in history has produced quite a number of star power here in SSBA, from Manning to Smits, Seikaly, Strickland, Richmond, Przybilla, Hawkins all the way to Shaw. A-mazing ...

Went 9-2.
My starters looked amazing...between Moncrief, Thompson and Daugherty, they put up a ton of points.

I know is only one game, but Kite outplayed Sampson in their matchup. Kite 23/16/5 to Sampson's 23/12/0. Antoine Carr did something when I traded him, what a bum.

Manning looks nice too. Will be interesting what he can do if he doesn't have the green light to jack them up 25 times a game.
I'm curious to see this too. When he and MJ are in the lineup together, I am expecting much more balanced offence from him, meaning fewer shot attempts but higher efficiency (since he'll have legit scoring threats around him and therefore less pressure). I used PS one to see some things specifically with Pryz and Manning. Both had some difficulties shooting the ball, which is fine considering the DC, and that I can reasonably expect to change. I wasn't too fussy on Pryz's rebounding, but not really surprised by it based on his lack of girth and experience. The things I liked were Mannings rebounding numbers, and Pryz's block numbers. These two qualities will compliment each other well. The shotblocking allays some concerns for me - very happy to see that. Time to mix it up some more for PS2 and see what they can do with some different settings/positions and responsibilities.

Well, I was quite pleased with the Warriors performance...
Vern did not shoot as well as expected, percentage-wise, but besides that, he was excellent. 27 ppg, 5 rpg, 4.8 apg, and 2.0 spg is pretty darn good.
Doleac was great offensively... I will take 50% and 47% shooting anyday, especially as a 2nd option.
Lester Connor certainly played well, getting 2 triple doubles, playign great defense, rebounding well, and coming up with 16 ppg as a non-option.
Rodney McCray suprised me, and it was a pleasant suprise. Pulling down 11 rpg, and getting 1.6 bpg is much more then I expected from him. If he can average a double double this year, with 1.5 bpg, I will be very happy.
Joseph Hughes also surprised... in 25 mpg, as a back-up C and PF, he averaged 2.2 bpg, and rebounded the balle pretty well, with 8.4 rpg. If he can maintain those block numbers, I will be thrilled.
11-5, with a very good offense, 10 ppg differential, and outrebounding the opposing team by about 3 rpg. quite happy, but we shall see if that play will continue against the stiffer competition of PS2
