The Grizzlies trade the Grizzlies 2025 1rst, Hornets 2025 1rst

to the Nets for James Worthy, 2025 Nets 2nd rounder

A trade exception is needed and so the Grizzlies will contribute $300 and the Nets will contribute $100.

The Grizzlies agree.

{oops, pressed "post" too early}

and that you can't deal a player for only picks, unless to a team with enough cap space to absorb the complete salary ... and the Grizz will have none next season, even before resignings. An exception won't make it, you can't reduce the salary to zero.

Nets agree - Marshall is fine by me, Grizz - thanks. Obviously to be processed after the end of the season. Agreed to now - starting the dismantling. Can now hope for a little lotto luck.

FTR, I did not know that the TPE could not be used to replace a player altogether. Learn something new every day.

It's good to get another starting A defender. It will work out perfectly if he can play pf. If not, i i may have to move Pippen to pg and start Worthy at Sf. Still, i could always just make Pippen, Brooks, or Worthy the 6th man coming off the bench.

I also wanted to thank the Celtics for letting us know a player had to be added. I had no idea.
