Sonics Trade:
Evan Lo
Stromile Swift

Celtics Trade:
Pau Gasol

Sonics agree...

This deal, I think, has to wait until day 31.

Celtics agree

Timing should be correct, according to Bods' rules page a player traded on day 170 can be traded again on day 31.

So why in the world would i give a player of Gasol's calibre?
To get a player of Stromile's calibre!

He's a great shot blocker and better scorer while being a decent rebounder and defender.

It's clear i lose some defense here but being among the best there I feel i can take that. On the other hand I give my shooters some relief now and can play more versatile, which should make thing interesting. And some fresh blood doesn't hurt.

Will be fun to mesh Stro into my team concept ...

Oh, I disagree...  Stro is a great defender, probably significantly better then Gasol.  His A- defense does not show his true defensive prowess.

Like this trade for the Celtics, if they use Evan Lo.

Gasol is a slightly better rebounder then Swift, equal offensively, but a lesser defender.

little more offense/blocking for little more defense/rebounds
just a little MORE offense and a little LESS defense imo

and a backup like Lo can't hurt either ...

I think that I got a better player on a shorter contract.  Can't complain.  Pau will slide in at PF right next to Shaq.
