The offense really isn't there, and isn't likely to improve.
He's not a good passer either.
But he is a good defender, and EXCELLENT permiter defender against those of you who like to start the 3 pt shooters at the 4.
His defense and rebounding will likely improve, and that is really all I want for a guy beside Yao.
