For option 2 I wouldn't have time to modify a draft file until this weekend.  We can use the current draft file and it would be the same as having a very weak draft class in the NBA which happens sometimes.  But then the league can keep moving forward.

I am running the poll for only 3 days so that if option 1 wins then I can start the draft Thursday or Friday.  If option 2 wins then I can start working on a draft file.

Any other suggestions are appreciated.

maybe find a 2005 draft file online???  all that would take is a little editing and none of those players have been in the SSBA yet...

The draft won't be the 1995 NBA draft.  After looking at that draft I realized that 17 of the top 25 players have already played in the SSBA.  I am looking at alternatives right now as the vote is leaning towards using a modified draft file.  I am thinking about doing a historical draft to include players from the NBA top 50 list.

This was the original idea:
Here's what I'm thinking.
2027 draft will be a combination of 1990/1991 (available players)
2028 draft will be a combination of 1992/1993 (available players

After that, we get to the point where so many of the players have already been in the league that we can't make a good draft class, so:
2029 draft will be the 2005 nba draft
2030 draft will be the 2006 nba draft
2031 draft will be the 2007 nba draft
2032 draft will be the 2008 nba draft.

The question, to me, is whether a draft should be changed at all this late into the process.  I think we go with CPU draft for this year, then next year resume the 2005 draft etc.

Sorry, I misread it and thought it said the 1995 draft.  Since it looks like I will be modifying a draft file then I will do the 2005 draft.  I will start on it tonight instead of running free agency.  That way I can load FA, the draft order and the new draft file all at once.  I then will give a couple days to review the file before running the draft.

EDIT:  I meant re-signings not FA...I need to stop posting first thing in the morning.   Bash
