I don't consider a guy like Montross an asset.  There have been 6347 guys come into the league with C+ B offense that have never amounted to anything...

Rickey Pierce!!!

I thought that guy was gunna be awesome, he even got to B- B+ scoring at one point...

btw, in the past 20 seasons (didn't look back any further) there were ZERO championships for the Celtics.  And I'd say there were 28 other GM's I'd rather hear from.
...
fine.

not many give a shit discussing trades here, but i'd welcome some more opinions than from the 3 or 4 usual suspects.

btw, nice that one of the least successful franchises in SSBA (missed playoffs for the past 6 seasons and counting) does NOT share his thoughts about the trade but rather criticizes those who do. Way to go, man. (you don't need to look it up, I DID make the playoffs in each of those 6 previous seasons ...)

Hasn't been my franchise until this season, won't make them this year either, makes me 0-1.  I point out your lack of championship success to illustrate the fact that you're clearly not as brilliant as you believe yourself to be.  Until I've done some winning, I won't spend much time questioning peoples decisions.  Neat idea eh?

According to you and the 3-4 replies to EVERY trade I've seen posted, nobody knows what they are doing but you.  I can't think of the last time that I saw a trade go through without you demanding an explanation from one or both GM's, like somehow you're the most qualified person to assess the value another GM places on his player.

When was the last time that somebody made a deal you thought wasn't insane, highway robbery, collusion or fishy?  You're not giving your opinion, you're screaming for attention, and it makes my head hurt in ways that I find difficult to describe.

I will, on occassion, voice my opinion on a trade.  But most of the time I'm humble enough that I don't think I know all 28 other teams better than I know my own.  I have enough trouble trying to get my team into the playoffs to worry about what the Pistons and Sixers are doing.

The only deals you've made this season have been 3-4 minor ones with the same team, Orlando Magic.  How 'bout instead of spouting off everytime another GM makes a trade you put some effort into trying to make a move or two yourself.  Or is it simply that you don't have the creativity or the stones to pull off a deal some people won't agree with?

Personally, I think the Sixers get a steal here.  Far too often, a very good offensive player is traded for pennies on the dollar because of a low defensive rating.  I'm just sorry that I didn't have a pick to offer for Rosow!

It's funny how there seems to be tons of interest in Rosow from everyone that didn't have a top 10 pick to trade...  Let's not forget that he put up 20+ PPG on a team that has basically locked up the worst record in the league...

He also put up 22 ppg on a 48 win team.  The fact that he's putting up numbers on a bad team isn't proof he can't put up numbers on a good team.

Good luck building around Parker Archibald...  I will repeat this one last time, "I will NOT rebuild around a player with C defense"...  End of Story...
