Celtics trade
Jarrett O'Meara

Magic trade
Griffin Gola

Celtics accept.

Gola is signed by the Magic, they would have had to cut him to open a roster spot for O'Meara

And since i'm 100% sure somebody once again would have called it fishy if they drop someone that I pick up later on I asked them if they would trade him for a similar expiring.

(gosh i even checked that Gola had been signed more than 60 days ago - 70 in fact) to make sure this isn't a "waiting for ..." trade again)

sorry TOM i can't understand what you are talking about.
after your trade with the magic last sim the magic had an open spot to sign a FA. they decided to go for kelly. after just one sim they cut kelly again and sign a different player. obvious this can't be the reason to trade gola.
and why did you check that gola has been signed for more than 60 days. You should know by now that you can trade any player on his own (except players signed in FA).

sign and drop*

as far as the trade is concerned, it so happened that Tom sent a PM about Gola when I was about to cut him when I was looking for a another PG. then I realized I'll need omear?'s d and outside shooting somewhere down the line. Very Happy

The ONLY time I've seen someone accuse a GM of making a "fishy" deal, it was you...two days ago.

Brilliant.

*lol*
yup I forgot he can be traded. Guess i've waited so long for trades to happen i'm overcautious.

But what's the problem here?
Did we exceed the "maximum number of Magic/Celtics deals in a season"?
Is Griffin Gola a synonym for Clark Kent and here's a superhero flying under the radar?
Does O'meara violate his drug probation and won't pass the physical?

I'm wondering ...

no problem with the trade. just wondering why a gm trades for a guy he can get for free. normally you trade a guy and get some value back.
here the magic get nothing in return. no money, pick, cap space just a guy they could have signed.
even your anual trades for 2nd rounders have more reason than this one  Very Happy
