AAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHH
well at least that should be my #1 in worst/bets moves
best move:
trading Watson for a #1 pick that ended up #6 lottery.
worst move:
trading the #6 pick AND AlJeffe (who left the Celtics as 13/7 guy then, and later exploded to be a 20/9/2.5bpg player)
for Etan Thomas (who got me one 12/13 season and the decined rapidly to retire 3 years later)
WHAT A (SHORTSIGHTED) SHAME !!!
to my defense I have to say that the Bucks were 23-38 at the time of this trade and nobody could have predicted they would finish the season 8-13 to end the season at 31-51 with the 4th worst record.
AAAAAARRRRRRRGGGGGGGHHHHHHH ...
on a sidenote: Mehta's ratings DID suck badly then, his FBCB ratings were decent, but the prediction matched the current ratings, so no big improvement was to be expected, and A C rebounding was pretty lame, even in that 2011 draft class. His college numbers were 16ppg, 7.5rpg, 2.2bpg, about the same as Doyle Fee (who was drafted #23). But then Mehta improved 12 net ratings, the biggest jump ever in SSBA (nobody else got more than +10).
If I had held onto that pick, there's absolutely NO WAY I would NOT have drafted Lincoln Lord, btw. I remember pushing very very hard to move up in that draft since I KNEW Bods would take him ... and Lord soon became the anchor of the Nets championship teams in 20212 and 2014.
Man, I love diging in that SBBA history ...
