well way better performance by my team. It really makes a big difference if you have a PG who opens the floor.
Blocks are down but that was expected with the loss of hinson.

after 2 presims i guess i can take a first look at newcombs abilities. He seems to have great hands. He can shoot. His stealing abilities are great and his passing are way better than expected.
Hope his shot blocking will increase a little bit, but in generell he seems like the perfect backup now and the future replacement for shane with a better shot.

The wins didn't come, but I sat my starting backcourt to see what Barkley/Semjonova/Perry had.

Barkley stepped up as the man on the team.  24.2 ppg, 9.7 rpg, 3.1 apg, 1.4 spg, 1.3 bpg on 52.3% shooting.  If I can expect this out of him as the #1 option, that's great.

Semjonova did about the same in 32 minutes starting (13.2 ppgg, 4.3 rpg) that he did off the bench in 22.8 minutes (10.1 pg, 3.7 rpg).  It's nice that he can score in bunches off the bench, at least.

Perry had some great #'s last year (and the previous 3 years), so I wanted to see what he could do this year, despite his #'s.  11.1 ppg, 4.7 apg, 3.1 spg for a 2nd teamer/minimum pickup is good enough for me.  He'll probably be my backup PG, over Artest, who puts up nice numbers but turns it over too much for my liking.

I'm thrilled that Wu is a shotblocker, but I was really hoping for a little bit more offensively.  With a B- inside and an A potential, I thought he would at least be competent.  Meanwhile, Borgmann had another fine preseason.

Nothing too special to report for the Nets: pedestrian sim, noone who got playing time at a new position did anything all too sexy (Mills was OK, but won't play much, Lamp was OK, but won't play much etc.) Wanted to get more of a sample of Cannon as a PG, but that was cut short by injury so Gola stepped up with some big games. Rumors of Steven Schmalz's imminent demise proved untrue - very solid #'s. Time to get Milner in there and see what we can do.
Thanks Pacers, and good luck everyone (except Tom  Laughing)

12-4 again...but with Mitchell not scheduled in the lineup.  Injuries bit as both Fleisher and Bowie went down.  So Mitchell played all his minutes at PF/C...even starting at center for a couple games.

With Mitchell on the bench the inside seems to open up more for Munson offensively.  Points and, more importantly, shooting % increased a lot.  The loss of Bowie & Fleisher for 6 games each hurt the rebounding and defensive effort but the team fought through it. Gave up more points and a higher fg% but margin of victory increased over the 1st preseason.

I actually moved Borgmann from 3rd to 1st option and he put up 3ppg less but did everything else pretty much the same.

Moving Buck down on the pecking order lessed a little bit of his turnovers.

Green doesnt seem an option kinda guy.

How about Jeff Robertson? My 2nd leading scorer that sim despite being non option off the bench (24min, 18.6/6.7) - likely due to my inside focus.

I like Tracey Vaught's 2.1 steals as starting SG, and it limited Teagle's sloppy ball handling. Snow also cut his turnovers down a third.

Rookie guard Chris Avery got some unplanned-for minutes as my 2 PGs were out for 4 games each. 23min, 5pts, 3reb, 4ast, 1stl, 1.6to - pretty decent all around game.

All in all, 6-8 records in both preseasons; better than I expected honestly.

Turnovers are going to be the achilles' heel of this team. All my starters had fantastic sims except for the turnovers. I don't really know how to solve this issue, as plugging one hole (moving a guy down on the option list, changing the pace, e.g.) just opens another... I guess I should expect to have some growing pains with such a young team.

But it's not all doom and gloom. Hornets are all over the league leader board, so that gives me some slight satisfaction. Also, it looks like Nique is a lot more effective offensively at SG, so I'll experiment a couple more sims with that.

Very interesting sim for me.

Otis Thorpe started and killed, averaging 20.6 and 10.8 per game

Mahorn proved he can play centre (his defense actually went up)

AKEEM IS A TRUE DREAM !

Obviously we need a better PG. Telfs 6.1apg ins 35mpg is just not what im looking for in a PG.

Tower experiment at PF didnt work out, even he played PF last season last few sims and did pretty well, now he was
just horrible.

Im kinda sad i didnt offer Phelps more money for 1 year after refusing his 2 years contract worth some 32 mil. We
couldve been contenders with him for sure.

And WOW at Akeem, ROY pretty sure, 30ppg(1st in ssba), 12.4rpg(Cool, 1.9bpg on .472 FG. Lets see how he works at PF, his stats should
be even better there.

Colliton is definitelly a steal of 2nd round of the draft. 10ppg 5.3rpg 3apg 1spg 2.2tpg with very good offensive
stats.

Kyle didnt have a great offensive sim, but he can rebound, assists and his 3.0spg(2nd ssba) is impressive, 1.5topg as well,
and he shoot 1.000 FT %(1st ssba) LOL, too bad he played just 11 games, got injured. Im sure hell help out Hornets a lot.

we won 1st 3 before losing next 7, then beat Kings as usual Smile

Hakeem dropped 41 on Mavs but his most impressive game was 34/19 3blks @Knicks.

Do injuries that happen in the preseason carry over to the regular season?

I have a feeling we could make some noise this year if Cunningham and Wooten can play as well as they did last year...I think Magic might play SF with MO at the 2 and Kersey at the 1.
