I think alot of us probably plan on changing our lineups drastically between the two and it's so much easier to have seperate stats for each preseason

So if you change your lineup then you want to face the same team.  But if your opponent also changes his lineup then you are not facing the "same" team.  Simple logic dictates this only works if you are the only one changing.  Changing 29 variables in an equation will not allow comparable results.

i guess what he means that the roster file will show "clean" stats each time. Sure the competition does vary, but you get the idea ... and don't have to calculate stats

So what do people do during the regular season?  They download the info and calculate the stats.  If you change your lineup during sim 3 or sim 8 how do you know what the new player stats are?

Rerunning the same 20 days is not a good answer just so people can easily calculate stats.

It's not for calculating stats, it's for easy comparison.

For example, it's nice playing the same # of games, against the same competition.  If I want to try some changes to my from fast to slow, I can easily directly compare the results to the other pace.

Makes sense to me.  I don't see the benefit of running different days.

But the competition won't be the same unless you can guarantee that none of your opponents will change their DCs.  If they change their DCs then your players are facing different competition and thus the results are not comparable.

No, but conditions are going to be closer to being equal than playing entirely new opponents.

It seems that popular demand will be the same 20 days, that's what I will do.  Bold changes on DC's.
