never understood why you traded for Lenard only to keep him on the bench. But at least he's young enough to still make some noise now.

but back from the former to the real Celtics:

another 5-3 sim, but at least a winning one.
Road wins over Spurs and Bucks make me happy, a home loss to the post-playoff Wiz clearly not. But i never had an easy time with them, no matter who plays there. Maybe some curse or so.

Tried Marion at PG this sim and brought Trump from the bench, starting Schabi next to Dirk. Well, actually it was fine.
Shawn got 29/6/6 with just 3 TOs, but of course his defense isn't what it used to be. Still, nobody really can defend him there and that numbers would make a lot of teams happy. Schabinger did nothing spectacular offensively, but held most opponents down (noble exception: Wolkowyski). Dirk was a disappointment though. No, i don't expect him to go for 30/10 anymore (19/7 are fine with me), but when his opponents average 23/8/4 on 53% then we will lose some games.

This Matrix experiment did show me other positives too: Trump even bettered his average to 15ppg on 48% as backup, just his playmaking is missed then. Del Negro played a fine backup to Dirk. His numbers were low (4/2/2 on 58% in 12mpg) but his opponents, including some quality guys (Lavar, Jonas, Prince, Gaylor), only got 2ppg on 36% as well.

Can't wait to welcome Sampson back from injury next sim (who played one game all season) to see how my complete frontcourt does, and PG Reed will also see some action when he returns. As for the AllStar weekend, only the Matrix can be booked for sure, maybe Julius gets a shot in the Rookie game, but who cares for that anyway ...

Oops, just realized his opponents had 12/4/9 and 3 TOs themselves on 43%, so maybe he has some D left after all
 Cheers
