After narrowly going down to the Heat I was so stunned, I had to check how good those Heat actually are. They went 2-2 against Nets and Wiz but lost 0-4 to the Hornets. So far so good. But then I found out they are a stunning 7-1 against the top 4 western teams. So I took a closer look at the West. How did the top 4 western teams fare against the eastern playoff teams? This are the surprising results Warriors were 20-10 against the East, but just 7-9 against the East playoff teams Kings went 20-10 vs East, 8-8 against playoff calibres Clippers managed an even 15-15 record against Eastern opponents, but only a mediocre 4-12 against the top 8 teams Grizzlies were 16-14 vs East, including 5-11 against playoff teams. That gives the top 4 teams from the West a 24-40 record against the top 8 from the East. And leads to another question: Would ANY western team have made the playoffs in the East this year ... ?

Hey i just found out with some complicated states and analisis that ANYONE who would take a SINGLE game in a series against Heat would probably beat ANY team in the West in a possible series.
However, if you win astonishing TWO (it's highly hypotetical cause it's next to impossible) games against the Heat, there's 100% possibility that team would actually SWEEP ANY team from the West!
As a final result of this statistical formulas and wisdom not known to 99% of the mortals (very few, chosen ones can have a slight insight on the whole matter) i found that the Celtics are actually top 3 team in the whole league!

Ladies and gentlemen, lets welcome the FIRST POST EVER FROM THE KINGS MAKING SENSE. The unbelievable part of your analysis is this: it's actually right on target. Can't remember we've ever had such a disparity in this league. @Hawks: your 17 wins would translate to around 25 wins out west as you won 25% against the West (compared to 17% against the East). But still no playoff berth But hey, i didn't say ANY eastern team would make the playoffs, i only said ANY western team would be hard pressed vice versa ...

Well, since this sentence has sense to you, i'm gladly handling to you the title of #1 Psycho of this board. Why? I'm #5 record-wise and Magic plus Warriors didn't exactly set the world on fire recently. Nets and Hornets are ahead of everyone and then I see myself, Magic, Heat, Raptors, Wizards, Warriors ... and probably even Kings in a close race behind. And with Griffin aboard I give myself the edge here right now, nothing more.

Ah well, I guess you can keep the "On paper, my team is the 3rd best in the league" title... The trophy is a jpeg of a real trophy.... The rest of us will go for the actual title

Props to the teams who actually win and won and let's hope we can join your ranks someday, not only talk the talk. Meanwhile all we have to do is watch and learn ...
