I went 3-4 this sim, but Damp was out 3 games in which I went 0-3. When healthy, the last 2 sims I have been 8-3 which is much better then ever before.  Moving Mason to the bench seems to have been great for the team as he is a spark off the bench that can really score and force some turnovers.  I'm 2-1 against the Celts (my new rival, as dubbed above) in the last two sims.  Antonio Lenard has his way with Jeremy Palacio the in the 1st 2 games, which we split, but in the rubber match Lenard was hurt so I won't count that one too heavily.  Another good thing was Charles Phelps won again torched the Nets and Petit, this time I came out on top though.  I'm convinced that Phelps is the best rebounding guard in the league right now.  Troy Havlicek is slowing coming back down to his old form but I expect him to average around 20 and 8 this season which is right where I need him to be.  Overall this is the most optimistic I've been in a long time, I just hope I don't get let down the next sim.

2-6 sim...very disappointing.  But then I lost my starting SG/3rd option halfway through the first game.  He didn't come back until the last game.  Still I lost 2 OT games and two other games by 2 and 3 points.

In regards to the key players and shots....some players are just shooters and others aren't.  And it doesn't matter if they are first option they still may not shoot.  While others even if non-starters will come into a game and jack up a shot every time they touch the ball.  That was one of the reasons I wanted to trade Chris Mihm when I had him.  They guy was a black hole...the ball went into him but never came out except towards the basket.  Not a bad thing if you shoot with a decent percentage but in this case the team had much better shooters.

After wondering for so long i tend to believe now that there are teams working best when actually only 1 or 2 guys are made option and the rest just works in the flow of the game, without carrying the added pressure of having to score. I might be wrong here but being commish sometimes opens different views to you ...
 Wink

Some teams, I am sure.  I think that would highly depend upon your squad, though.
My squad works very well with 3 options, and 2 of them (Nowitzki and Hinrich) are also good ballhandlers and distributors for their positions.

The worst sim i had in 3 seasons i believe, lost all 6 games, but considering the teams ive
played it was prolly the toughest sim also, well - the Bulls (no offense)....so i guess
it was just a bad week, teams tactics remained same but i hope Iggy coming and Finley
departing havent made some unrest at Blazers locker-room.
Maybe a difference was also that i moved Telf out of scoring options despite his great
perfomances recently and mostly all season.

Game 1 Magic 88-100 Magic are a tough team to beat this season but losing at home always
hurts, Iggy made a fine debut leading in scoring with 19 on 8-10 shooting in just 25 mins,
Telf added 18/13, Haywood 15/15 with 4 blocks, Buehler with 15 boards in 27 mins, he-s
trully amazing for his size. The other newcomer Bosh was spectacular with 0-8 shooting Smile

Game 2 @Kings 87-114 I guess the repeat of last sim, this time vice-versa, now it was them
who completely shutted down mostly everybody, Iggy again leading scorers with 22/5/8 in 27
mins on 10/16 FGS, seems a good deal.

Game 3 Celtics 93-98 Now this was somewhat suprising loss at home, Telf went rebellious
with 32/5/10 3 stl, the rest of the team sucked big time.

Game 4 @Nets 101-106 Losing to Nets in last 2 mins of the game isnt such a big deal, esp.
in Brooklyn, Houbregs had a fine night with 30, Iggy added 21, Telf 20/6/10.

Game 5 @Mavs 96-117 Except for usual Buehler/Haywood many boards, team completely sucked
 this one.

Game 6 @Bulls 106-108 This one was a real killer, the only one that made me pissed off Razz

Oddly, enough, sometimes it seems like good ballhandling skills makes  players shoot less, since they are more willing to give up the rock and get assists.

he did have 9 assists in that game against the Mavs.

I must agree, i never had a good ballhandler at SG/SF spot, now that Iggy came i put him as 3rd option and he was leading scorers or 2nd best on 8-10, 9-12 kind of shooting game, he indeed gets 20ppg and wastes only 10 balls + - but gets a fine share of assists, rebs and steals as well.

Not looking forward to tonight's sim at all.

Play 8 games, 4 on the road, 4 at home.

Of the home games, should be able to beat the hawks, grizz and Buck. Will probably lose to the Warriors.

However, my road games are: Mavs (13-7 @ home), Pacers (15-1), Hornets (18-3) and Warriors (15-2). Impossible to win a game. I see this sim as a 3-5 at best.

Back on track. Only loss was a 4 pointer to the Nets.

Wow, what scheduler would schedule our games back to back, with a 4 hour flight involved...  Bastard!!!   Cool
Hey, at least you immediately get to try and get revenge for the loss  Wink

Man, im not looking forward too much either, but this sim will prove this
team is good or ill continue to slip towards lotto pick after a disastrous last sim.

What a weird schedule, playing jazz, warriors and mavs home and away + lakers and nuggs.
Im hoping for 5-3 or 4-4, hopefully ill win home games vs nuggs, jazz, lal and mavs and 1 upset Warriors at home or Mavs away would be perfect sim for me.

Or who knows maybe i go 8-0  Laughing
