Blazers agree

I got more depth and experience,Jerry will be a good backup for Fox,Harrington will be moved to PF as a backup for Zach,he's better backup then SAR at PF but i had to play him on SF due to lack of quality players,Sapp will be a great backup for Houbregs (i had to play 18 and 20 year old players before),so now when trade goes i got a good DC to finish season and depth will be especially important in my run to playoffs, too many youngsters on my team still

Cunningham/LaFrentz, Randolph/Harrington, D.Fox/Stackhouse,Houbregs/Sapp and Telfair /J.Fox sounds much much better then my current DC

Basically I unload two players who were lucky to get off the IR for a scoring PF/SF to help with a playoff push.  If nothing else I cleared an additional $2+ mil of cap space next summer.

Love the trade for the Spurs.  For a team that has historically had trouble scoring, SAR is basically the #2 pick in the draft (Stan Manning), who's proven himself to be one of the best points per minute scorers in the league.

For the Blazers, SAR just doesn't work.  Not enough minutes and probalby can't d up at the 3.

Sapp's an interesting player, with his ballhandling and all.

My Spurs pick goes farther down in value.

Good trade, works both ways.

For the Blazers, SAR wasn't needed anymore and Cole is on a low-risk audition for a season. Plus they still got a nice expiring ...

For the Spurs, their resurgence continues. If you compare last mid-season roster (before Arenas) with this now, you can only call spursGM lead candidate for GMotY.
They wont need SAR for more than backing up Mihm till but the postseason get's closer in a hurry here.

SAR's a nice compliment to their pre-existing frontcourt of Mihm and Thomas.

With their team I'd be starting SAR at SF.

Keep him on the bench. He's not a great player right now - but he certainly has the potneital to get there.

I could see them giving up 105pts with SAR's D.

I can bring SAR off the bench at both PF & SF.

Thomas/Mihm/Thomas
Mihm/SAR/Hobson
Russell/SAR/Russell
Arenas/Schabinger/Arenas
Parker/Claxton/Claxton

If I want D at SF I can still use Strickland...but he has been struggling with his shot this year.

And the amazing part is that I have replaced Nesterovic, Stackhouse & Dench with Mihm, Arenas, Claxton and SAR.  And basically all it cost me was 2 draft picks.
