The thing is Drew is also shutting down the opposing SG's. Except for Koegan, everyone played horrible, he even shut down Kobe.

Kobe averaged 12.6 ppg this sim.  Granted he shot 37%, but I made a bad decision in terms of tempo and scoring focus.

Sim 1 isn't enough to go on for much of anything.  Consider the following:

Pistons outscoring opponents by 1 ppg on average and going 7-1
Mavs' and Wizards' bad starts

Well I looked at little more into this and if you don't count the blow-out by the Nets, I am outscoring opponents 105.8 to 99.8...  +6 differential...  I had 1 - 31 point loss and that is why it looks kinda messed up...  I will gladly outscore my opponents by +10 or +1...  Doesn't matter just so long as I win...

the sim went way better than i expected. i didn´t care about def and just tried some offense lineups and lost only to the sixers by 1 and bucks.

A short recap of the games:

@sonics: carmelo startede the season strong against one of the better defender with 29/11/6 and JO was his usual dominant, Artest hold as usual Peja in check
sixers: it was a shootout at the PF position TD dominated here but JO also had a monster game 30/16 and 8blks and Jamison scored in 12 mins 10pts from the PF position again matchup with a great defender Carmelo went for 33. reason for the 1pt loss was artest who had an offnight
@magic: JO showed Howard some new tricks.Almost a triple double 39/16/9 and 6 blks. Carmelo continued his great scoring with 23 and artest bounced back and added 19 on 8/10 shooting-
@nuggets: the only defensive minded game. my big 3 showed that they can also do it on the other end.
@bucks: JO with another great performance 38/15/7, Carmelo with 26/6/8
but also with too much TOs
@bucks: my second loss Ferry couldn´t be stopped without any help def.
Carmelo showed that he is still young and inconsistent but foster was the surprise of the night going for 21 and 14 against Ferry.

RJ and Parker played very well as backups both shooting high % and played solid def.
Carmelo did very well at SG against some of the best defenders in the league.

Yikes 3-5.

Pre-Training camp, I was expecting to make a run at the playoffs this year. It still may be possible but I think the rebuilding process shall continue until this time next year...

Even without Hinrich, if my team could have hit a shot, they could have won some games.  37% from the field is just disgusting.
20.8 topg is also terrible, but Hinrich's arrival and Michael Bellamy's benching will take care of that.  But I forced my opponents into 18.4 topg, which is pretty good.
Won the rebounding battle by 7.5.  Just need to start hitting some shots.

Iwas worried about how my too trades looked...but now it looks like I got awesome vaue for Peja, and a top 5, maybe top 3 pick for Mihm. I'm pretty happy.

I should be starting Rasho at PF to offer Yao more prtoection and a chance to play more minutes...but I want to give Fnley a bit more time.

Yikes!  20.8 topg is scary.  And that was with Pierce missing time  Shocked

Of course as a 3rd option Paul did drop his to's down to an acceptable 3.3 per game.

Yeah, his TO's were not out of line.  It was Bellamy...  last year he was excellent as a back-up PG.  And he may still be, but he will not get the chance on this team again.  Longley did not help either, but the double injuries of my 2nd and 3rd options within minutes of each other wrecked my rotation.

Having Hinrich back will bring the to's way down.  He has an over 3:1 assist/to ratio, normally, and his handling went up this year.  And hopefully Mark Byrd will back him up. Running for the first time at a fast pace with my primary ball handler injured was not good...

Yeah, last year I started off high.  My TO's were high all year, but obviously dropped a bit as the season went on.

Lol.

I just looked at my salary for next year.

Without re-signing Pettit I'm already 32 million over the cap next year.  To put things in perspective, I could let Pettit walk this year, Okafor and Dalembert the following year, and still be 2.8 million over the cap, not having cap space until 5 years from now.

lol.

Battier and Billups last offseason.  Pettit this next offseason.  Then Okafor and Dalembert.  No boring offseasons in Nets land.

I remember...
Last year I was 8th in the league in topg, and 23rd in forcing to's, making me about even in that department.
I figured I could afford to give up some more to's with Pierce, especially when I added a good ball handler like Iggy to the lineup.

Hopefully I can get some real info this next sim, since this last one was a complete bust.  Only one game with the full lineup.
