I also agree.
A long review of why I did this will be posted later.

Ok, here's my reasoning.
When I signed Peja to that big contract, my plan ( I think I make have actually posted it) was to trade him when he got to be 30 or 31. That's what I did. No doubt, he's still an elite player, and was on the all-league first team this year. His defence was less than stellar, but it wasn't as bad as the B- suggests. My fear is that he may continue to decline. Peja has never had a good TC in the history of the SSBA. Last year he dropped a rating in Inside Scoring and in Defence. I wasn't willing to risk that much longer. I want to win a Championship, but my chance to do so with Peja drops significantly every year.
I love Deng (who doesn't). He's only 22 years old, and already a dependable scorer, rebounder and defender. I would like to see him become a B B scorer and a A defender this TC. Wouldn't that be nice.
I have also had my eye on Diddle ever since that draft. I realize his numbers last year were awful, but I'm hoping he may regain the form he showed in his first 2 years. Maybe he just needs a change of scenario. Either him or Springs will start at SG, depending on TC.
I wanted to wait until tommorow to make this trade, so I could field any last minute offers for Peja. However, the Sonics were willing to include the 26th pick if I would pull the trigger now, so I pretty much had to.
Now, my team is left with an outstanding 1st option, and 4 number 3 options. I'm not sure if that is a good thing or a bad thing, but we will see. Obviously my outside scoring takes a huge hit with the loss of Peja, but I think Deng, Diddle and Baron will all be able to hit enough 3's to keep the opposing defence honest.
This trade makes it more likely for me to do other trades, so please, if you have a player in mind that isn't named Yao, don't be afraid to ask.
I'm looking forward to hearing everyone's opinion on the trade.

So now Sonics have Peja and Dirk?? Oh my God, the West is getting more sick every day Hm...although i'm not sure couple of 28 years old players whit huge contracts are right way to build a team, but still, the Sonics looks really dangeorus. The Warriors already spoiled my day so this was just the ice on the cake.

Peja, Dirk, English and Kundla...let the threes reign supreme. Should be good, but Kundla and English have to acheive their potential before Dirk and Peja decline. That might be hard.

Well, I am guessing that the Sonics will have an outside focus next year.. lol Good trade for both teams. The Raps get a SF who matches age-wise better with Yao, and they can mature together for years. Peja scoring will be missed, but that just means that Yao should shoot even more With the acquisition of Nowitzki, the I like this trade for the Sonics... Wow, the most devastating outside shooting team ever seen...

Yeah, the age was the biggest factor for me. I don't want to pay a 35 year old Peja 17.5 mil.

Was hoping to hear some feedback from you, Bods, about this trade. You have proven time and time again that you are pretty damn smart about FBB, and I'd love to hear your thoughts.
