It seems like he forgot about this one...or maybe still waiting for the draft day outcome...

#1 - I never said to post it...  I offered the trade, but didn't agree to it "to finalize the deal" (I sent other offers too)...

#2 - I sent him a PM after I saw it posted and responded to him via PM that it was only an offer and nothing was finalized...

and I will now be keeping the pick...  Hopefully this clears some confusion...

Pet peeve time, and something to specify for future instances.

Obviously, I can't hold PistonsGM to the deal.  And I don't know exactly how it went down.  But for future trades, keep this in mind.

By definition, an "offer" is an agreement.  If the other party agrees to your offer, you have a contract.  It doesn't have to go back to you.  If I get a job offer from company Y, and accept it, I've got a job.

Therefore, if you want to present it as not an offer, you have to specifically state this this is only an "idea" in the originating pm.  Otherwise, it's an offer.

For future reference, specify whether it's an offer or an idea (and understand the difference between the two), otherwise I'll hold you to it.  And I can check the exact verbiage of any pm if I want to go into the database manually to do so.

Well, sorry i have to disagree with that. Offer doesn't mean you have to agree on that right away. The only thing that should be posted is that you both agree on that, so every GM should ask another can i post that (?). Lots of GM's (including myself) are only testing the grounds with the firts offer and that doesn't mean you can post that right away. Sorry that's only my point of view.

But anyway,  Cheers  I had a few drinks more this evening (Jesus i just met the most beatufill mother i've ever met, and she insisted on my cell phone number so i still might be under that impression so i might be wrong about the whole damn topic Razz , damn, i fell ashamed again)

That's why you need to differentiate what's an offer and what's an idea.

What if I send out 10 trade "Offers" of the same player and 5 get accepted...  I can't choose what one I want???  I have to go with the one that responds first???  I just asked the LakerGM if he would be "Interested" in the trade and he went and posted it...  I know I am not in the wrong for turning down the trade...  I never said to post it and I never fully commited to the trade...

Well if that's true, LakersGM made a mistake then.

Then don't send out ten "offers".

Like I said, people need to clarify what's an offer and what's an idea.  Because they are two very different things.

you even said yourself:

I offered the trade, but didn't agree to it

By definition an offer is an agreement.  If you don't agree to it, clearly state that.
